FYI Tigers get bigger than Lions. Regardless of size, an adult, male, African Lion will tear up a Siberian Tiger. Lions are the king of the jungle.

You do know that it is virtually impossible, save man’s interference, tigers and lions cannot meet? Ya know with them being on different continents and shit.
Fun fact about Tigers from Wiki:
Bengal tigers have been noted for their sheer power: One tiger has been observed to drag a gaur kill away that, later on, 13 men together could not move. As a gaur easily weighs 1 ton or more, the tiger has been able to drag something 5 times its own weight.
In the wild, Bengal tigers are pure carnivores and hunt medium-sized and large-sized animals, such as rabbits, badgers, water buffaloes, deer, goat, wild boar and gaur.[5] They are also known to prey on peacocks and can climb trees to hunt primates. Tigers have also been know to prey on young elephants and rhino calves. Typically, tigers do not prey on adult elephants or rhinos but at least one such case has been documented where the WWF is taking care of an orphaned rhino whose mother was killed by a tiger. Furthermore, in India, there have been several cases of a lone tiger bringing down a bull tusker (a large male elephant with big tusks). Bengal Tigers have also been known to take other predators such as leopards, wolves and hyenas as prey, although these predators are not typically a part of the tiger’s diet.
I’d like to be able to easily move five times my own weight. Damn tigers.
Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!

Yeah, but with man’s interference they do meet in zoos and when they get in fights, the lions beat the tigers.

Fucking punk ass mother fuckers!
You’re just too stupid for words. Unless you’re a strict vegan you have no place belitteling people that hunt. And then to take pleasure in seeing a human get hurt.
I suppose it makes you feel better that your steak came from a slaughter house where the animal was killed by someone else. You enjoy bite after bite while wearing your leather shoes and jacket made from it’s hides.
Hunting for sport i.e. because you want a head on your wall and hunting for food are two COMPLETELY different things. If somebody was hunting for food I have no problem with that.[/quote]
I am a Hunter…In theory, I kinda suck at it.
I agree with you, PGA200X. Sport hunting is repugnant.
JFTR. You can hang an Elk or Buck head on your wall and still eat the meat.

Yup, my money is on the tiger any day of the week.
Oh, and yes Skyzyks when we are off hunting we generally have a long caravan of natives packing our accouterments and I even have a little fellow named Hodji who carries my rifle until the moment I muster the courage to fire my high powered artillery round to kill the far off and dangerous rabbit. LOL
D
Hunters with rifles are a part of nature just like any animal they hunt. Somehow poeple don’t think of themselves as part of nature. Like we’re synthetic beings or something. We’re just as much a force of nature as anything.

Brother, I agree with you. I hunt, I use a rifle, I don’t consider myself a pussy, but what is it they say about opinions?
Take care bro,

Nah, I meant the safari types who would otherwise end up as lion or tiger poop, but play themselves off as great hunters.
Bunnies are some good eatin. I used to ping those suckers all day.

True, but why would you want to? You don’t see mounted cows’ heads in the homes of beef ranchers, or chicken heads on the walls of poultry farmers (that would be pretty funny, though). I mean, it’s called a trophy because it’s supposed to show some form of accomplishment and, like SkyzykS said,
If they could go out and do something like take down a lion with their own skill and strength, they would deserve ultimate respect
I would even extend that to large herbivores like deer or elk; if you can run one down, capture, and kill it with your bare hands, then by all means you’ve earned a trophy. Using a 30/30? I’m not impressed.
That being said, I’ve never hunted, but I wouldn’t mind learning how to hunt and dress deer, as I love venison, and I just think it would be a handy skill to have. Of course, the fact that I despise camping, being in the wilderness, and just generally being inconvenienced is likely to be a barrier to my acquiring this skill.

Interesting point.
Animal cruelty issues aside, does anyone think that if predatorial animals learned how to manufacture and use a weapon, that they wouldn’t use it against anything they hunt, including humans?

Hunting Mule Deer and Elk out west is much different than hunting whitetail in the Southeast.
It does take skill to find and kill an Elk. They are fast and agile.
They like to hang out in high rough country, hiking at 8,000 feet is hard work.

Killing an elk with a 30/30 is quite impressive.
It requires almost perfect shot placement and good stalking skill.
You have to get within 125 yards, without the elk smelling your sweaty ass.

Actually:
http://www.india-wildlife-tours.com/wild-animals-in-india/indian-wildlife-asiatic-lion.html
By the way, a little moronic formula:
Hunters with big guns = pussies with small dick. ![]()
Is it wrong to gradually build an animal’s trust by giving it food, and making it comfortable enough to eat 3 feet from you; then kill it for food?
That would also take skill, and it’s using our superior intelligence to kill it, and it’s for food.
Many people have a problem with this though.
Ultimatley, it’s probably going to be less painfull, or scary for the animal since you’re almost guaranteed to kill it without it suffering (like what could happen with other forms or hunting if you don’t hit it just right).
And what’s wrong with using our intelligence to find deer who already have their guard down because other people feed them?
That makes it even easier to get your kill (remember, it’s for food), and again, the animal isn’t suffering.
Are those deer any different or better than the deer in the wild where it’s legal to hunt them?
If not, is that only because other people have built up some sort of selfish attachment to them by feeding them at the side of the road while camping?
Just something to think about, and yes, I’m playing devil’s advocate.
