You Gotta Be Real Disciplined, Huh?

Click on your user name at the top of the screen to go to your hub; Training Logs or the option to start one should be in there. (This is also how you can check on other posters logs / pics / vids as an indicator of whether they are full of sh*t or not).

oh, you know - things like claiming to have worked out for 20 years but looking like a newb.

(Sorry, couldn’t resist!)

No offense, but sounds like you have zero discipline. You had one beer and eight hours sleep and are too over trained to do some fucking cardio? Are you kidding me?

Props on giving up alcohol. I am working on that and cigarettes. That being said, I can drink a half rack and probably smoke a pack of cigarettes, have a shitty sleep, and still have no problem busting PRs the next day. My current goal is to not drink most days of the week (currently only drinking on weekends down from every day - when you get up to the point that you need a twelve just to get a decent buzz going, definitely not ideal for gains) because it obviously fucks with you and I’m trying to get back down to a few cigarettes a day down from three packs(hopefully quit - I am currently at around a half a pack a day; just too much free time/stress right now), but seriously grow a pair.

Life gets in the way of a lot of things - you fucking slept from 4AM in the morning to 12PM in the afternoon and had a negligible amount of alcohol. Do your fucking cardio. Wow.

Edit: Just to clarify I am not painting myself to be the ideal forum member here - clearly have a lot of shit to work on - but I cannot believe some people are this out of touch. Sorry, if I’m coming across as a dick, but I feel like some of you guys are living in complete and total seclusion. I know plenty of people who drink often, smoke often, and would put to shame about 90% of these forums as far as strength, physique, whatever is concerned.

Shit, I started out having problems benching and squatting 50lbs (bar hurt my traps), I am most certainly not a genetic specimen, and I somehow managed to make some progress over the past couple years drinking like a fish and smoking like a fireplace (though I realize how sub-optimal that is and am currently taking steps to change all of that). I just think some people who can’t even do a single pull-up have a tendency to over-analyze the shit out of these things.

Also, I just noticed that you posted in like every other thread in the beginner’s forum. Might want to take a look at that Blind leading the Blind thread…
“Blind leading the Blind”? It cracks me up that you had the gall to start your post with “No offense.” This guy gave up alcohol. He certainly has more than “zero discipline”.
These people are teenage fucktards.

Must be knowledge like this ^ that gets you to a level 2 (whatever that is) but everyone else is a 0 so I’m guessing thats good lol

Or constanlty trolling others they view as trolls etc.

A non FOS person would just leave the fcuk alone and ignore. These idiots have zero self control.

Ha! Nah, I have just enough knowledge to tie my shoelaces in the morning before I put my crash helmet on and board the short yellow bus!

The levels just indicate how much of their hard-earned people have spent on Biotest supps - personally I love Z12, HOT-ROX, Brain Candy and Metabolic Drive (especially banana flavour).

@Leon - chill out fella, it’s just the internet.

@Grumpig - done. :slight_smile:

AHHHHH I know nothing about Biotest and it’s a little pricey so it looks like I will be forever destined to level 0…or at least until I graduate college lol

Impressive stuff man, seriously. I already respected you before, but I really respect you turning your life around. Congrats.

That’s a gift man. I lost someone to that and miss him. I bet people around you are thankful and relieved everyday to see you out of that hole and living good.
Absolutely. Not all my friends made it. I buried a friend a few months ago (OD). He was going to graduate from college this May. Didn’t make it. I was right there with him when he started. An old roommate is still struggling. I’m thankful everyday that I’m clean.

As a side note, it appears Leon has been banned. good stuff.

I’m late to this thread, but want to echo what ryno76, Cuso, and JLone have said, and offer my condolences for the loss of your friend.

2 hours and 30 minutes for this thread to turn to shit. Pretty good going, might be some kinda new forum record.
Well as the OP starts a new thread every hour, there is a pretty good chance that his threads won’t be taken seriously anymore. I believe he has 6 open threads on the first page of the beginners section.

Very prolific.
I was going to respond more seriously, then I read this. I didn’t recognize the name…now that I’ve scanned this thread, I’m pretty sure he’ll be gone in a month or two anyway.
RampantBadger wrote:
You should start a training log in the section of the same name instead of filling up this section with tons of new threads
This. Although I seriously doubt the OP has the will or discipline to stick around more than a few months…

OP, Start a log for all your articles and “help”

Mods, I don’t think the guy needs to be banned, but perhaps you could “help” him to start a log (blog) if he is as prolific as others are claiming? There is nothing wrong with being new and kinda stupid…but filling up the board does have an effect on the environment. eh, my 2 cents.

…he was banned a couple days ago. it will serve him well, he’s better off reading than posting.

If he just stopped giving advice, that would have made a world of difference. I do hope he finds something that works for him. A bit of discipline would do him some good.

I’m kind of hoping that a few months from now he comes back with a “hey guys, you were right, sorry for cluttering up the forums, and thanks for the help.” But not holding my breath.

Wise decision. His years of experience brought him to this. You can’t undo all that confusion overnight, assuming he wasn’t just trolling.
