Sounds good. I did a lot of hindu squats before I got into the gym, I think that helped. Leg presses can also be beneficial (again only my opinion as an amateur meathead) for strength, for stretching the hips, and practicing recruiting the glutes.
I deal with the same gym issues, trainers seem to get in everyone’s way to help one person who will disappear after a couple months. I go Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday because they are usually slower days. Monday night at my gym is like Grand Central. My gym is more of a bro haven, so its rare to find an EZ curl bar unoccupied. They must think my sumo deadlift is the worst curl ever.
Just a thought…if mobility is an issue I’d be careful with cleans. It’s easy to compensate with bad form and hurt yourself. Same thing with deads, but I don’t think they are as injury prone.

As part of my lower body days I do leg presses using the leg press free weight machine.
I know trainers can add tremendous value to individual training programs so I’m not knocking trainers, but there is just way to many in our confined area gym. And they all seem to keep similar hours so when they’re there its congested.
Power cleans from the floor are fairly straight forward for me (at least they used to be) and the deadlift is an old friend.
Its funny both you and Like mentioned compound movements at the same time because for the first two months I worked a DB complex routine and the fat and weight seemed to just melt off. After getting back into a gym I stopped the DB routines and instead incorporated a weight routine that included some of the exercises but not with the same intensity as the compound program.
Maybe I need to consider inserting another DB compound routine into my workout week. I enjoyed it tremendously and really felt great afterwards. Thanks for bringing it up. I think I’ll have another look at the Javoric’s db routines.
