I think it’s a good idea to maybe actually run 5/3/1 for a bit. You’re retry young so the slow and steady gains may be a good base that sticks around with you for a while. There are variations of 5/3/1 where you can set the frequency to however high or low you wish concerning your lifts. If you can interchange volume and frequency enough to see steady progress you may come to like it.
I think about it ill probably modify it as I know I won’t progress with 1x squatting a week or benching 1x a week, and ill need to find deadlift replacement, but the reduced intensity will probably be good for wrestling season. Also, this PR happened after losing 15lbs going from 185-170.

another PR with some in the tank RPE 9 didn’t wanna go up because didn’t eat anything the day before or leading up to a workout to make a wrestling weigh-in. surprise with how easy it felt after a mess of trying past few weeks don’t really know where to go from here, any suggestions.
