Well I spoke to a guy today who is a chef at a hotel who just started doing the overnight shift a month ago. he loves it. I appreciate all the input guys, we will see how it goes, ill will go into it with a positive mindframe.
Kent its an investigator position for one of the major logistic companies.
german, no doubt, and once week 8 arrives I will hopefully hit a PR.
Fucking awesome! you weren’t kidding about the trench coat
I think you got this, Matty. A little change is a good thing - gives you a new perspective. I wake up around 4am almost everyday and and start working. I feel most productive when the rest of the world is sleeping. lol! Maybe you will too!
V Squat machine itself, no. But have used similar type plate loaded machines. I think German uses something similar as well, “Power Squat machine”. From what I googled, the V Squat looks more like a Hack squat than say a Power Squat. I would imagine it definitely targets different motor patterns and attacking all motor pattersn is good accessory work (if it didn’t, we wouldn’t have all variations of bench angles, etc).
SQUAT 135/5 225/5 245/5 315/5
FRONT SQUAT 135/5 135/5 155/5
LEG PRESS 3PPS/5 5PPS/5 5PPS/5 5PPS/3
DB SLDL 40/10 80/5 80/5 100/5
CABLE CURLS 65X3X10
SUPINATED CHINS 7,6,5,5 (23)
PUSHUPS (VARIOUS HAND PLACEMENTS) X80 TOTAL.
NOTES: Left my gym bag in my other car so no knee sleeves or belt today, and I held up pretty good, I like the 5 rep range for lower body movements. It seems like the perfect amount, upper body I prefer the 8 rep range. This was good today.

I’ll have to google v squat but i think i know what it is. The power squat is the elitefts one. You can face out like a hack or in like a squat…
I like those machine in the fact that you can just pull weight and not worry about much else, great compliment to squats and deads.

That you can even HOLD the 100s for five reps of anything is amazing to me.
I work with over a hundred operators who do shifts and a lot of them love it and wouldn’t have it any other way. The freedom of not having to deal with traffic, of getting bank and doctor and dentist appointments anytime they like, and seeing more of their kids in their off hours is totally worth it.
And if the job is a good one, well what else is there to say? FUCKING AWESOME!

VSQUAT 1PPS/10 2PPS/5 3PPS/5,5
NOTES: Awesome workout today, shoulders felt great, did 205 for triples twice and could of done more, but am learning to leave something in the tank, I also like doing 2 back of sets in the 10-12 rep range. Very happy with my lifting today. today also marks the 4 straight training day where I do some sort of squat and while sore, I feel good, the Vsquat I enjoyed a great deal it seems to mimic the “hole” portion of the back squat very well. Using the bands with HS machines was fun too.
