Matty you so craaazy <3
You think you outgrew your gym much dude?
All of your exercises are done with the whole stack… and the 5lb weight things added on.
LOL, yeah maybe, but Im starting to break down, So amma work out with the pink dbs from now on. I was gonna take a pic of how I rig my pulldowns, 2 5 lb thingies,a 25 pound plate attached to stack with the pin one time I added nickels to the top of the stack…cuz I was feeling SWOLE!
^I once posted on facebook that the best way to train is never break a sweat and no weight heavier than 20lbs no matter what and people believed me!!! I had to explain that it was a joke and then people were pissed that I’d put such misinformation out there. These were the same people who I’d told to lift heavy and eat right, that advice was ignored but something totally stupid everyone thought it was good advice.

This is the exact reason why we have 6 min abs, thigh masters, and the lot of get RIPPED in only 10 minutes a day three times a week! An easy way out is what most people are looking for, and will fall for it because they want it to be true so bad, and why there are very few people who accept what weight training entails, and decide to take the long constant road anyway…

The Sheeple love it when they get “advice” that confirms what they already believe; especially when the “advice” involves no hard work, and no sacrifice(s).
I am not a powerlifter. Plus I also think meet advice involves strategy, which is another level above just training to lift the most weight you can in the gym.
With that caveat, my .02 on maxing in the gym: work backwards from the max you want to attempt, so yes on the 425 before the 465; personally, I’d do a couple reps in the 325 and 375 range as well (70% & 80% of 465). And as long as you’re < 60% of your known max, you can pretty much do as many as you feel you need to do to get that warmed up for heavy weights feeling.
Makes a lot of sense PG, as much as it makes a lot of sense I never thought about working back from the goal weight, which says alot about my common sense lol!
