I keep reading XBone as “X-Bone”
I am going to hereinafter refer to all players of this console as “XBoners”.
As stated, can you name the source who says one is better than the other? Is the name reputable?
How about the ones who say it is identical such as resident evil developers?
Referencing RAM speed is not really a comparison as that has a minimal influence in the overall scope.

Identical is bullshit, how come 3rd party games don’t perform identically on both systems then?
Even 1st party games such as Dead Rising 3 don’t run at over 720p or 30 fps. (granted I think Forza does, but that’s a racing game where models are incredibly easy to animate).

All I can say is time will tell, it’s too early to claim X is better than Y, so why showboat?
IMO once things are out and devs are comfortable with both platforms things will be fairly identical
Most of the current info going around is more PR/Marketing related than anything else…
You can be a fanboy or look at the actual hardware and notice tiny minute differences

You’re never going to hear anyone say one is better than the other, I’m pretty sure everyone is bound by NDAs.
Although, one site did venture to ask the question…and didn’t get a straight answer…due to a NDA…
And it’s not the RAM/memory speed that’s the major part of it so much as how it was architected, i.e. it’s easier to utilize. Not to mention, as linked from the anandtech article, the PS4 simply has more hardware under the hood.

It’s a shame for XBone buyers because I felt it was genuinely the only possibly interesting launch game since it was a new IP.
^That is exactly why everyone raving about Titan Fall is crazy. It’s a new IP no one has gotten to play to any real extent. It looks cool, but there’s a 50/50 shot it’ll suck.
Same with Destiny (Although I’m raving about it, lol).

Just like the xbox360 launch games were kinda…meh. Truth is comparing the PS4 and the ONE wont be a legit argument for at least a year. Dead Rising 3 is getting mixed reviews. Game Informer gave it a 8.75. Which isn’t bad. I read somewhere online that the coop is really fun. I am getting the ONE tommorrow but I’m not a Playstation hater.
I own a Vita and I do enjoy playing it. I also think Playstation did very well promoting the PS4. In the end, for me I have too many friends that are xbox people and I would miss playing with them. IMO though, I feel like it’s too early to argue over what console is the best. Seriously, I hope they both do well.

Great points, what console your friends choose is a legit deciding factor.
It looks like the PS4 is a better console for someone like me, who wants a simplified experience where they push a button, put a disc in and just plays a game which looks and plays great and doesn’t give a shit about any other entertainment add on.

Really just boils down to how much you care about exclusive titles.
I’m getting Xbox One because I like the idea of Skyping with friends and family in front of my couch and for entertainment features that will be developed in the future.
I only play 1-3 non-exclusive titles/year.
That being said, EVERYONE I know getting a console is getting PS4.

Skype sounds cool, would never use it. I barely use my cell phone as it is.
Kinect sounds cool, would use 1 or 2 times.
My laptop has a HDMI hook-up so I don’t need Netflix through the Xbox.
I have a cable box/DVR so I don’t need that feature.

This is pretty much where I landed. All I want is something to play games with, everything else is already covered. The controller was my biggest deciding factor and after talking with usmccds423 and playing with it in a store, I’m sold. That and my brother is going the PS4 route and we tear shit up so I gotta get the same.
