This is spontaneous as fuck, but I’m switching to the Texas Method. It makes sense, and I don’t need to evaluate myself as much. No focus on weaknesses, I don’t have a gym partner to spot my weaknesses and it’s hard to asses myself. Here I come Texas Method, starting tomorrow!
Kay so today I went to the gym to see what weights to use for the Texas Method. I calculated some stuff last night but from my 1rm I couldn’t do it, so I guess I’m better at low reps then mid-high reps(5reps )
Squat: warmed up, then 235x5, 235x3(felt fkn heavy), 225x5, 225x5, 225x3 (going to use 225x5x5 next time)
Bench: 150x5x5 pretty easy to be honest, I was surprised
Deadlift: 265x4 (was pretty dead, going to try this again next sunday, cause my squats were kinda fucked today)
Honestly I miss doing this full body stuff, the only thing I don’t miss is how long I’m in the gym for.
Couldn’t get to the gym today, but it’s light day and I started Texas Method a bit conservative so it shouldn’t be a problem, no more missing after this. INTENSITY ON THURSDAY.

I bench with my hands a thumb away from where the knurling on the bar starts, and my elbows are tucked HARD, and I bring the bar a bit below my nipples. I don’t train with Mac anymore cause he pisses me off

I bench with my hands a thumb away from where the knurling on the bar starts, and my elbows are tucked HARD, and I bring the bar a bit below my nipples. I don’t train with Mac anymore cause he pisses me off[/quote]
nah im not really stuck. I don’t get in enough tricep work doing the bench press because my form isolates my pecs, therefore i gotta do a lot of hardcore tricep/lats accessories which translate to slower recovery and slower PRs. But all things consider, im still faring pretty well. 150 Close grip bench for 2 and 115 OHP for 2.
XArena needs to chill. This man is pissed becuz I didn’t go to gym with him one day cuz he was going with his gf. Besides, I don’t like the Ymca branch he goes to majority of the time and i have other things to do that day.

I went over your form in your log and how your elbow flaring is putting the stress mostly on your triceps and takes it away from your pecs and lats.
Missed another light day… due to my school gym being closed today during my lunch and was with my girlfriend afterschool because of valentines day … hopefully I can smash a PR this thursday… no more missing!!!
okay so today I just felt dead, but thats okay, i was falling asleep every time i sat in between a set, and i was NOT feeling the DL for 5 reps today… so I did a triple, an easy triple to be honest, couldve done 10lbs more
