Either you guys both don’t remember the scene and how bad Famke’s legs looked, or you both are incredibly desperate and would actually consider her legs to look nice. Wow. I honestly suspect it is the latter.

What are you on man?
You could make some serious cash off that shit.

Actually, I’m going to step out in front of the firing squad here and say I actually somewhat agree with Farlick. That’s a huge somewhat, however…

While I won’t go on to say that Famke looked “terrible” or “nasty” (or whatever other choice words Matt used; can’t remember and don’t feel like going back), I do remember thinking to myself immediately upon seeing her walk out of the lab and down the hallway, “Wow, her legs are very long and much less in shape than I always thought they would be…”.

She didn’t necessarily look bad. There was just a serious lack of muscle going on there that I noticed. She looked…lanky is the best word I can think of. Granted, she is tall and thin, and it’s obviously harder for someone of her stature to acheive very muscular legs. Nonetheless, it was something that instantly jumped out at me, as well.

Go back and watch the scene again when the DVD comes out. You might be surprised…

Yea, just terrible.

Heck, I’ll do you one better. In this picture her legs looks absolutely stunning. And I still think, overall, Janssen is gorgeous; a true physical specimen when it comes to looks.

I stand by what I said concerning that one particular scene, however. Perhaps she hadn’t been working out for awhile when the scene was filmed. Perhaps she was carb depleted. Or perhaps it was just the camera playing tricks, like we call know they can do. Whatever the case, it was something I noticed.

I found this picture while looking for that last one. I never really took the time to stop and look at Hugh while the movie was going on, as the story was pretty much moving non-stop.

He got pretty damn jacked for this role! I know he’s probably not that big compared to some people, but relatively speaking he looked pretty impressive.

I also want to point out that she is 42. Holding up quite well I think.

I agree with you.

I knew my comment was going to rub someone the wrong way, but I tried to make it clear that I didn’t feel she looked “terrible” in the sense that Farlick was describing the scene. I just slightly understood what he was talking about, albeit in a completely different light.

He reportedly gained more muscle for this one than the other movies. I’ll give him props for making an improvement.

A question; why would Magneto consider Omega Red a “pawn” and have him in the first rush? From what I remember, Omega was pretty rough on Wolverine a few times.

Hell, why would he leave someone who looks like Mystique lying naked on the floor and not take her with him and at least use her as a human sex slave?[/quote]

Umm, I think Magneto plays for the other team.

I’m always impressed when I see someone that gained a lot of muscle in a fairly short period of time who took the time to develop their traps.

That’s pretty much the first thing I look at anymore (apart from legs) to see if someone took their training seriously. I know it’s not failproof, but it’s usually a pretty good indicator of whether or not the person was just going for the “beach body” (although, for a movie, I guess that’s all the studios really want).

About Famke, I guess I’m just so used to younger women who have great bodies (sure I’m a little biased.) I apologize to the older members of this site who are willing to settle for a woman who is in her 40’s.

Youth is a sign of fertility; I’ve always been attracted to young fertile women with tight bodies (by young I’m speaking of 18 to around 22 in the US, younger in countires where laws are different.)

Now, I think Famke is an attractive woman, her face is unique and has nice structure, and given a little camera work she can look very nice.

By the way, thanks for posting pictures of her and her legs, but if you know anything pictures are much easier to doctor up, change tinting/color/lighting etc. to make their subjects look better. It also helps all legs when one is wearing heels.

In the side shot of Famke, her legs don’t look impressive at all. Bad choice of picture–you my friend are probably a very desperate man if that is the best you can come up with. In the movie, the scene I was originally speaking of, Famke is walking barefoot and I think it gives an honest portrayal of her legs.

Overall Famke is not unattractive, I’ve never really commented on her overall appearance; simply, her legs look like a horses’ ass in the movie scene I originally commented on.

I’ve been impressed with Jackman’s work ethic since the first one. He apparently hit the gym with Tyler Mane (sp?), the guy who played Sabretooth, and took his training seriously. Whenever interviewed about it, he’s shown a healthy, self-depricating humour.

By X2 he’d gained a little more real mass, adding to what he had in the first flick, and now in X3, he’s added a few more pounds.

Someone who restrains themselves from chasing 14 year-olds simply because of the law sounds more than a little creepy.

Something that irked me in this movie was the sudden use of mutant ‘Classes’ with utterly no explanation whatso ever. Everyone just automatically understands and uses the new term. “I know that no one in this room is above a class 3, except you.”

I went and saw this with my girlfriend and she turned to me and went “What the fucks a class 3?”

“Willing to settle”? So you think women over 40 are just unattractive, no matter what the circumstances, simply because of their age? Wow. I got news for you: you’re going to get older, and whoever you decide to marry will get older too. Either accept that now or or you’re going to be severely depressed when you get older. That or just a dirty old man.

Ha! I love how you can deduce, simply from my posting of a picture, that I’m a “very desperate man”. This from the same guy who’s admittedly into very young girls where law permits…

Not that I feel obligated to defend myself to you, but I’m happily involved in a three-year relationship with a gym rat whose ass and legs are nothing less than stellar; thick, shapely, and muscular. I’m far from desperate, buddy.

The others were right. I’m sorry I ever even tried to back you up to some extent. You’re very delusional; you must live in your own fantasy world…

I guess I never even thought about that, but now that you mention it, it does seem odd. Was there ever even any classification discussed in the comics?

I imagine they primarily did that to simply show how far more powerful Phoenix was than every other mutant out there, but I’m wondering if it was something solely improvised for the movie.

No, it’s in the comics. Magneto, Prof X, and Storm are class 4. Logan, Scott, and most of the others are class 3. Jean is the only class 5 they have met.

It was used in the cartoon X-Men Evolution as well.
