But, everything on the internet is 110% fact and must be taken with the utmost seriousness.

You should be tied to a lawnmower and dragged slowly over hot coals for saying that!

The reason people are giving him a hard time is because this isn’t the type of stuff that you sit in a corner and cry over. Gf leaves him - happens on regular bases to everyone, weight lifting injury - on this site this should be pretty damn common, had to walk in cold weather - we’ve all done it.
Grow a pair and look for ways to benefit from this not sit around and sulk. Gf left you - more time to pick up hobbies hang out with old buddies, weight lifting injury - spend time on mobility and prehab so that shit doesn’t happen again, walk in cold weather - don’t rely on others for rides.

no no no HE LEFT his girlfriend, not the other way around. I’m not exactly sure why you would break up with your gf if you didn’t actually want to though…

I think this gif should be standard protocol whenever dealing with a depression/suicide thread

Mixed, the under hand was thr biceps that tore.
What do you think of the kinsmen? I’ve been there once thought it was alright, but ended up with a membership at world health. Thinking about getting a pass for the city facilities, and kinsmen is the closest to home.
Hope shit turns around sooner than later for you.
How much Gore will teh mods allow? I feel like going all out on this shitty thread.
The fuck is wrong with everyone lately?
Give the guy a break, jesus.
A bicep tendon rupture sounds damn painful to me. Hope it heals up well.
Epic horrible day. I can’t say I’ve ever had one of that magnitude. Sorry to hear it.
Hang in there and disregard people who think they have to be funny ALL the time.
Puff

It’s not bad, it’s one of the few places in the city that isn’t anti-powerlifter so that means a lot in my books. It’s not pro-powerlifter but I’ll take what I can get some days. lol.
Once nice thing at Kinsmen is I’ll also play squash, and use the prowler or sled on the track and stuff which is a real bonus. Overall for the cost it’s pretty good and I don’t really see myself going anywhere else until they turn more against us strong people.

It’s all good, I didn’t so much rant for sympathy as because it felt good to get it out. I was perfectly well aware of what would happen to the thread due to the number of hardasses in here I don’t care. Most of them are internet posers who would shit themselves at the prospect of a 635lbs deadlift. not all but many.
I don’t need their sympathy to improve my self worth.

The amenities are the main reason I’m looking to change. I think when I looked it up a while ago it was actually cheaper than World Health.
Do they have a sled there, or do you take your own? That’d be great if they had one there.
It amuses me how some people can’t tell the difference between a rant thread and a suicide/depression thread (especially when the OP ends with “Sorry for the rant”)
A ruptured bicep fucking sucks, especially <2 months out from natties (you could switch your grip so your over hand becomes your under and vice versa, but I think I read about Dave Tate pulling that once and then tearing his other bicep . . . )
Spending an hour outside in -20 fucking sucks, I’m just confused as to why you had to hold your jacket closed (no zipper? zipper broke?)
But you already know that. And you sound like the kind of fella who’ll pick yourself up, dust yourself off and be just fine.

Really? I tend to agree with him. If I were to hurt myself like that (torn bicep or something), and someone tries to tell me about how I shouldn’t be whining about it because such and such happened to so and so and they have it so much worse . . . I’m still in fucking pain and I probably don’t want to hear it.
