on ur supplemental excersize after me upper body, do u prefer 2 sets to max reps or 3-4 sets 6-10 reps? btw what does 1 x wider and 1 x closer mean?

You have asked this question before. We’ve covered the 2 x max and 3-4 x 6-10 reps thing somewhere in the last 6 pages. Read through it, don’t skim, and you will find the answers already posted.
I meant that I do 1 grip wider than my normal grip and 1 closer. Read the 8 keys articles. It’s all very well and good to post questions here but most of them are just repeating themselves and are covered in the articles that I consider essential reading. From memory, the grip issue IS covered on the DE day section.
hate to be a dick but i looked and u did not cover about that question … on ur supplemental excersize after me upper body, do u prefer 2 sets to max reps or 3-4 sets 6-10 reps? or rotate both … like max reps for 3 weeks then 6-10 reps for another 3 weeks? im just curious man

You are correct. It wasn’t covered here. It was covered in a thread you started a while back. That thread was what gave me the idea to Sign up to T-Nation and start this thread.
I prefer 3-4 sets of 6-10 reps and I found this out by doing it and trying the alternatives. Lift and learn.
im glad what i started made u sign up to T-Nation and make this thread happen [=
when u do 3-4 sets 6-10 reps … do u go real heavy like barely get 6-10 reps or go light and do 10 reps and feel like doing more?

Mate, you are killing me. What do you think I would do? A: Work at a weight that only enables me to do 6-10 reps and makes me work and improve. B: Get a pissy little weight that I could smash out 20 reps on and just do an easy 10.
Take a guess which one it is. This stuff is common sense.
I have a feeling remixpaul isn’t even lifting weights. He’s too busy typing on the computer about them.

I’m just not sure he is reading/comprehending any of the responses.

A common fault with some beginners. Those that just get in there and have a go seem to go that much further in the iron game.

I feel that I have gone a complete circle on a number of occassions.
i started today, took 2 months off before … did me upper body from strenght and speed template … had a good day with close grip flat bench … 3 rep max was 235 … 3rd rep my elbows hurt so i stoped after that … other than that it was s good day … the reaso i asked all those stupid questions cause i was just trying to make sure i got everythg down before i started this strenght and speed tempate
Just do it. It’s already written and tells you what to do. There is no reason to keep asking questions when most of the questions have already been answered. Go back and re-read the articles.
uick question, on all upper days i do shrugs, would it be better if i do heavy barbell shrugs for both days (ME and RE upper) for 2 weeks then switch to dumbbell shrugs but go for high reps for 2 weeks, and keep on swiching? or do heavy barbell shrugs on ME upper body and high rep dumbbell shrugs on RE upper body?

Superset Barbell Shrugs with Straps and Strapless Dumbbell Shrugs.
Follow the Ronnie Coleman Rep Scheme for Shrugs with the Barbell
20, 20, 15
Once you slam down that barbell, pick up the dumbbells and shrug till your grip fails and try to PR.

This has to be a troll account.

Hey mate, if you are not trolling then please listen to this:
No one can get everything down before starting a training programme. Training includes experience and experiment. In terms of experience, we have shared ours to this thread and other WS4SB threads, and I think it is time for you to build your own experience by experimenting what does work and what doesn’t work for you.
Now go do some heavy deadlift or jump some box at a scary height.

Good on you mate. I fully believe doing something is better than doing nothing. Sink your teeth into it and you’ll start to see some good results.

I’ve wondered that too. Remixpaul should hit Joe up in the Ask Joe column. Let’s see how well that sits with Joe D.

There is a lot to be said about getting in and doing it. I used to work in the gym industry and there was this one Indian dude that used to come in and ask questions like remixpaul does.
He would change his program weekly. His nutritional guidelines/diet could change two times per day and he often wondered whether he was over training. Needless to say he got nowhere.
Sometimes information can be a curse. Pick a plan and stick to it. Don’t 2nd guess the program and learn from trial and error.
