Would You Eat Lion ?

^ ive seen it in Vietnam ala Hannabal, eating the brains out of a monkey head, the monkey was dead as hell though.

This issue came up when a bar out here was serving lion burgers one day, a few months back. Everyone was crying about “THE LIONS! NOOO!” and shit about them being imported and what not, but they came from a farm where they were raised to be eaten up north somewhere like, Indiana or some crap I think. Now, someone in Tucson probably heard about it, knew it was going to bring business in and at the very least put his place in the spotlight for 15 minutes, and will be serving the same meat in tacos.

Tacos will be $8.95, and the owner said he paid $100 per pound for it.

I’d eat it, but I don’t want to eat it bad enough to head down to Tucson for it

I’ll bet lion meat is pure fucking testosterone, just dripping with it! I’d eat it; it would probably add several inches to my arms, chest, quads, dick and lats. And it would probably let me fuck like a goddamned battering ram for hours at a time and completely eliminate any sort of refractory period.
Actually it makes you want to grow your hair long, lay around in the heat not moving, telling the women to make you a zebra sammich and not giving a fuck until a Hyena comes by then your body is filled with disgust and testosterone until you kill everyone one of those scavengers and break their necks. I’d know.
That’s what I was thinking!

Whoa, Flashback!

Oh god, I just googled eating monkey brains, and I came across this awful clip from an old National Geographic film.

I hope it wasn’t Indiana!

There’s a non-profit operation not far from where I currently live that is dedicated to rescuing big jungle cats. They’re open to public and I recently took my daughter there.

They have lots of lions, tigers, and a handful of cougars (the animal variety LOL). They get them from all over the U.S., mostly ones retired from the circus or ones taken from rich idiots who thought it would be cool to have a huge cat as a pet and then find out they can’t manage it. The place makes it clear in its presentations and fund raising that these animals are well cared for there for the remainder of the natural lives. It would suck if the place is misrepresenting itself and actually selling them as burger meat to Arizonans.

BTW, this place is worth visiting for those who finds themselves in southern Indiana. These are pretty magnificent beasts. It is also kinda funny to see some of them hungrily watching a kindergarten class from the other side of the chain link fence.

They like to play sometimes too

IH, I now know how to handle you should you try to attack…

Yeah i’d eat that shit right up. As for killing it myself? I doubt it unless i had a big ass gun and an invulnerability cloak on.

Personally, I wouldn’t go out ofmy way to have some, but i’d probably try it.

I’m not a fan of the raising and killing Lions for food, to be honest. It crosses the line of how far up the species ladder we go, just for us to consume.

Also, the amount of meat that they need on a daily basis to survive must be staggering, along with the cost to feed them.

I found this on the webz, not sure how accurate it is but makes sense to me…

“An African lion will only eat every three to four days and can go with out food for more than a week. this means that the average “daily” intake of food in about 5 to 7 kgs. A lion can eat up to 25% of their own body mass when needed. The average lion will normally only kill enough to sustain themselves, this is in the region of about 15 animals per year, but there have been incidents of young lions killing needlessly picking if small and weak animals just for the sake of killing.”

I’ve seen similar data and even if it is true, that’s still a good amount of meat to feed one cat.

I wonder what kind of care you would give them if they’re being raised for slaughter? It just sounds shitty to me.

“looks” decent to me. It’s not like they can release these lions into the wild and expect them to live or anything so I have zero problem with it. I have much more problem with grain fed beef then lion meat.

yes
