Ok obviously this is an anti-war effort and propagada from the enemy to destroy our war effort. If this was Clinton I could agree, but not Bush, I mean I’m republican and Christian and so is he! He said so. Anyways stop sprewing this political crap because its pureley political and not the life we share.
Oh, what a suprise! The liberal, communist, blame America first, left thinks that Bush stinks. Oh, what a surprise.
Yes, our President certainly is the worst. Here are some of his more egregious mistakes:
(1) He has kept the U.S. safe from terrorists since 9/11.
(2) His tax cuts have produced an excellent, sustained, economic recovery with plenty of job growth and income growth.
(3) He has removed one of the most evil men from ruling 50 million people in Iraq, with the potential of creating a U.S. ally in a vital region in the world.
(4) He has nominated several Justices to the U.S. Supreme Court who will interpret the Constitution instead of legislating from the bench.
(5) He has expressed his love for God – which I know is a terrible example to others. Can you imagine the bad influence he will have on our kids – I mean, what will they think about a President that actually believes in following the 10 Commandments.
Need I go on? This is why the left cannot win elections, will not win elections, but will say and do anything to try to regain power.
Actually, I like the extremism. Keep it up – you will lose this coming election also.

In all fairness, regardless of party affiliation, no President should be compared to any past President in terms of legacy until his term is up.
Great post, zep!!!
It must trully suck to realize that your candidates for President were “worse” than the “worst.”
Keep up the great work!!!
Seriously, any list of the worst Presidents post-World War II that doesn’t have either jimmycarter or richardnixon on the top, is invalid from the start.
Therefore, nice try.
I’m laughing at your party’s inability to defeat him.
You stink,
JeffR
That was actually a pretty insightful article. He made some valid points.

I hope that was sarcasm, if so it was funny as hell. If otoh that was for real, then you are on the same plain as steveo, which is a few shelves below cognizance.

What about the anthrax attacks?
We live in a post 9/11 world and the game has changed. Our enemies no longer have well defined borders and governments. They don?t wear uniforms and hitting non-military targets is their chosen way to manipulate and intimidate. How can a fair comparison be made between our current president any president prior to 9/11? As far as Iraq goes we should have invaded them when Sadam started screwing around with the weapon inspectors. I obviously disagree with the author. My pick would have been Clinton.

The worst president post WWII has to be either Carter, or Johnson.
Carter was the one that allowed terrorism to take root, and Johnson was almost single handedly responsible for the escalation of Viet Nam.

Exactly. And who the hell is independant.com and why do I suspect they are not?

Carter’s betrayal of the Shah of Iran could be rated one of the blackest marks against ANY president. Betraying a man who’s trying to bring his people out of the 7th century into the 20th…that is beyond forgiveness.

Given Carter’s collective history with both the Middle East during his presidency as well as Cuba and N. Korea after, I can’t believe he was left off this list.
Even more astounding was the insenuation that JFK was unwittingly ‘risk[ing] incineration of the world’ and that Bush’s errs make it a ‘lesser light.’
Better to be nuked under JFK during the cold war than getting Saddam out of Iraq? Yeah, that sounds objective and ‘independent’ to me.

Please don’t forget that wonderfully conceived and executed “hostage rescue” mission. Throw in a “little” inflation, and you can make a very compelling case for carter being one of the worst Presidents of all time.
Historically, I think that james “please, let me out of here” buchanan and jimmy “I’ve had sinful thoughts” carter are the very worst.

This site gives conclusive evidence of intelligence tampering by the Johnson Administration to justify escalation of the war in Vietnam.
G.W. Bush has plenty of faults, but Johnson is the worst.

No, he hasn’t.
Read any excerpts from the book chronicling how Al-Queda was going to attack the subways of NY? It was planned out completely. The Iraq War has little effect on whether America is safe. If you believe it does, you’re a fool.
The book’s title was in TIME magazine, I’ll get the name if you like.
Really? Sustained huh?
Someone will be paying for those “tax cuts”, those massive cuts for the rich and the pittance for the poor.
Everyone said the same thing when Whitman cut taxes in NJ in 94’. Now, we’re 5 billion in the hole.
You don’t cut taxes during a fucking “war”. We will pay for this.
He’s done this. Whether it was worth it is up for debate. I believe it was not. We’ll see how the civil war plays out.
Bullfucking shit. Every ruling is a form of interpretation of the Contsitution, it all depends on you political affiliation as to whether you think it’s a good one or not.
Those justices are bad for the country…although I bet we’ll have the ten commandments on the walls of the court soon, and that’ll make god happy won’t it?
Like not killing? He must have missed that part.
This is good for biblethumpers like yourself. I hardly consider an openly christian president either unique or exemplary. Politicians all cheat on their wives…I bet your buddy is no different. It’s the way of Washington.

Extremism? You jesus freaks are the worst kind of extremists. At least the Zap Branigans or the Thunderbolts of the world can actually consider the other point of view that comes from the other party.
You’re still babbling about your book of fairytales and how it makes people “decent”. Goodnight sucka. Try again tommorow.

Yea. Good thing Reagan used the hostage situation as a publicity stunt after he got elected. "Let’em sit another couple weeks till I get elected…then, we’ll just say I did it!. The Karl Rove of his time…good man that Reagan.
Either he or Andrew Johnson get my vote, although Nixon and LBJ are all tied at the top.

That’s all you have? Don’t make me laugh. How about all of the plots that were foiled already – not to mention the ones we don’t even know about.
Has anybody been blown up since? Do you even realize that the 9/11 attacks were due mainly to Clinton’s inaction in confronting terrorism?
What answers do you libs have to combat terrorism. “Oh, Bush s**ks. Oh Bush is a liar, Oh, Bush, blah, blah, blah…”
Hey, I don’t know about anyone else, but I certainly don’t want another Jimmy Carter in the WH during these times.
Viva Bush!

Irish,
I am not even going to respond to your usual idiotic drivel. However, I challenge you or anyone else to read over my posts, and Zeb’s posts, etc. then read through yours. You seep with hatred for anything and anyone that has to do with God? Why is that?
You even go so far as trying to implicate Bush in some sort of sex scandel – when your own “boy” William “B.J.” Clinton was caught with his pants literally down in the WH and you have no problem with that.
Whatever you say Irish…whatever you say.

What planet do you live in? Do you actually know what you’re talking about?
As we speak, we’re experiencing a tremendous economic slowdown. We are getting plenty of economic data showing that we’re entering a very dangerous period of stagflation – characterized by inflation without GDP growth.
I’ve explained this billions of times – what Bush, much like your idol RR, was inject billions of dollars in debt into de economy, creating “virtual growth” – growth that is driven quite simply by debt.
It’s like getting a new credit card and thinking you’ve suddenly become richer.
It’s simply moronic.
