Worst Movie You've Ever Seen?

For some reason I thought of another one this morning: Driven. The acting stunk, the racing stunk, and the premise of the movie REALLY stunk.

If a rookie driver in any racing series wins a race, the owner has a hard on for the whole season. This kid won 8 races and the season isn’t even over, but Burt Reynolds is ready to get rid of him unless Sly Stallone teaches the kid to drive correctly. Yeah, real believable.
Driven: sucked! Never, ever watch it. What was the deal? They didn’t want to make indie racing look bad or something? A potential suspenseful action scene, a wreck! a tire goes sailing into the crowd!! Yeah, a CG tire…THAT HITS NO ONE!!! In a crowded race track no less!!!

I seen it. Wow, it had everything going for it as far as a great action flick…but, somewhere along the way, nothing clicked and it sucked to holy hell!!

Now a terrible Peter Jackson flick imo is King Kong. What a steaming pile of crap that was!

I agree, but why did so many people act like it was the best movie ever made when it first came out?

Did they see the director’s cut in private? Did I miss some scenes that would have turned that from, “damn, what fucking time is it. I could be watching my grass grow right now” to, “holy shit that was amazing!!”?

King Kong had some good moments. If you edited out about half the movie it would be pretty good.
Here’s the test. Sweet, I found that someone already did my homework:

well?

Bad Company with Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock.

I can’t stand movies that try to be equal parts comedy and action…and then end up with lame jokes and boring action sequences.

The exceptions of course being True Lies, Con Air…can’t think of any more right now.

I also can’t stand when a movie ends in a really boring shoot-out. You know the kind, where the good guys and bad guys both duck behind cover and take turns shooting at each other for a while - usually in a warehouse.

What’s that one movie where the biker gets blamed for a murder, and both the cops and two gangs want to kill him?

That one sucked balls.

On another board someone said The Happening was basically shit.

What was that even about? Something that makes people commit suicide?

ya

I heard the ‘twist’ in The Happening is shit, too. I don’t know what it is yet. I just heard it’s shit. Oh well…

Are you sure that’s not from a video game? Grand Theft Auto? Otherwise, I have no idea.

Yeah, saw “The Happening” tonight…

I must say, choosing to see that over “The Hulk” may have been one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

M. Night Shyamalan needs to be beaten with an extension cord.

I’m surprised Bauer, not about The Happening being shit, but that you chose to see it over The Hulk. Were you coerced somehow? Some kind of trickery?

And then at the end you find out he was dead all along!

Here’s one:

Pretty much any movie that involves the main character having to “clear his name”.

Truly laughed out fucking loud.

“What a twist!!”

The worst movie has got to be one of the video game ones…

My vote goes to “Double Dragon”

The wife still had some fond memories of M. Night movies from this “6th Sense” days. She doesn’t have fond memories anymore.

The best part was my brother in law text messaging us as we sat waiting for our 10:30pm showing to start, and saying “I hope you’re not seeing The Happening, that was one of the top 3 worst movies I’ve ever seen.” Needless to say, I was totally pumped for the movie to start…

Not to worry, “The Hulk” is lined up for tonight.

Hahaha!

Speaking of which, M. Night is such an ass that although he didn’t ‘play a part’ in this movie, looking at IMDB, he is indeed listed in the cast, as “Joey”.

“Joey” is the name of a guy who kept calling the main female character on the cell phone, but you never saw him, nor heard his voice. He listed himself in the cast of the movie, for CALLING a cell phone.

He’ll probably pin this movie being such a shitpile on the fact that his acting prowess wasn’t in it.

I liked Shooter.

and The Fugitive.
and The Fugitive 2.
and Transporter 2
And North by Northwest
And Who Framed Roger Rabbit
and The Mighty Quinn
and Judge Dredd
and The Negotiator
and the Sentinel
and Tango and Cash
and The Warriors

Not a lot of originality anymore, is there?

Breath of Fire

and

Bangkok Dangerous.

These are the only two movies I have ever fallen asleep while watching. In the afternoon. I have my fingers crossed that the Nick Cage remake of Bangkok Dangerous is going to be better than the original, but I doubt it.

Now I’m going to cry as I read an old article about the Oldboy remake.
