Ok, so the way things are right now I definitely can’t see the contest happening in November in Florida. It’ll probably be delayed until 2021 like the Olympics or moved somewhere else. Also, travel visas will probably be a problem for overseas competitors.

Dead lifting 455kg for 2 reps is strong. As in over 501kg strong?
Who knows - if he does it maybe Eddie will fight him as well?

No. Good pull, nice hitching on the second rep, but it didn’t look like 501+.
Yeah I did notice that his 2nd was not as smooth as Thor’s 440kg for 2. In fact I thought Thor might have had 3 at 440kg.
But who knows - this guys has looks confident and 2x455kg is massive.
I do not think the 501kg will stand nearly as long as the 500kg record did, whether that’s Thor breaking his own record or someone else. I give the record a year at best.
You think Eddie hall will want to have a boxing match with everyone that attempts 500+? Lol

With all these strongmen lifting ridiculous numbers, when is someone going to break Benni Magnusson’s 1015 powerlifting deadlift record, set in 2011?
As soon as someone offers enough money to make it worthwhile.

Idk, but I did see a ridiculous video of Luke Richardson today. He apparently has never deadlifted over 900 lbs and yesterday or today hit 902 for 3 reps. No suit but he was wearing figure 8 straps

Martins Licis recently mentioned Tom Stoltman as a serious WSM title contender.
TS has hired the same nutritionist as Licis, lost his abs, and gained a lot of weight and strength. Just watched him do 2 reps of log press with 201 kg/443 lbs fairly easily. IIRC, the most recent Arnold log press event had Thor, Mateusz, and Licis with 2 reps of 430 lbs. TS is also the only guy as good as (stronger, perhaps not as fast) Licis in the stones.
If WSM 2020 happens, and Licis, Mateusz, and TS are all (relatively) healthy, it’s going to be super exciting to watch!

looks good to be Mateuz’s year. No Thor, Licis not 100% since his injury. Just need to see how many deadlift events there are now.
Stoltman could be a real threat too.

Kalle Beck is right, inviting Trey Mitchell as an alternate and equipment tester after he made the finals last year is a bad joke.
Agree that Stoltman could have a good year.
What about Shaw ? Past it or still in the running?
