One of these things is way, way, way not like the other.

I appreciate the compliment, but those guys are infinitely more qualified in such matters.

I take it back, AG doesn’t know shit.

All kidding aside, my point is that if you’re already second guessing your coach, you chose poorly. Choose wisely and believe in your coach and good things will happen.

Man… Quit majoring in the fucking minors.

Eat clean and do compound lifts. Have most of your carbs around when you lift. Do this for two years.

Worry about this other shit after you have committed yourself and have a solid base.

If it eases your mind at all I’ve lost close to 20 lbs in about 12-13 weeks eating more than 285g of carbs daily (most of that time was spent eating over 320g), having a weekly refeed, and eating less than 90g of fat, and I started my cut at like 214. So just realize that there’s no ‘rule’ for dieting that requires higher fats, lower carbs or whatever. Different things work for different people. Just pick a strategy and go for it.

Honestly at your body fat, just eating 3000 kcal daily (your BW x 12), making sure to hit 225-275g of protein, and just filling the rest in with whatever would probably be a good starting point for you. After a week, if you haven’t lost weight, just drop 300 kcal. You can get into macro counting, carb timing, a lot of other stuff, but right now at your bf% just making sure you’re getting enough protein and not eating in a surplus will go a long way. Make sure to have a few servings of veggies or fruit daily, and stay hydrated.

You either follow a coach’s instructions or you don’t. How much can you really tell if you don’t try something first? At least for 3 months. Unless there’s a chemistry issue between you and your coach.

Second guessing is not going to help.
