For those of you that don’t believe the interest in this sport is rising in the U.S.

Man, he sure doesn’t pull his punches. Spot on, though.
Now I’ve really got to learn to tell the difference between an Irish and a Scottish accent…

Not at all. They barely made it. It was the worst qualifing run in English history.[/quote]
BULLSHIT!!
The Spain vs Portugal match up should be amazing today, I have officially scheduled a meeting with a friend, so that we can go watch the game.
I am fine with either team winning, as long is there is an excess of goals and physical play. I’d love to see Pique destroy Ronaldo.

But only after Ronaldo’s launched an amazing free kick.
But yes, would be nice for him to feel some pain. Is that how you meant destroy? Or did you mean in terms of skill?
I called it. Sorta. A 2 point lead Paraguay. Im kinda sad though. I really wanted Japan to win.
The end of Paraguay v Japan was so emotional stuff…I love the World Cup and I love FOOTBALL.
damn it, i really wanted to see japan take that one.

Well,as long as shes happy.

HAH! “First we out-maneuver them, then we destroy them!”
Yes and yes - i’m quite excited to watch this match. I also don’t care who wins. Should be good footie altogether.
Joachim Löw nojento! - YouTube!
And just b/c - here’s German manager Joachim Loew during the last match.
Spain vs Portugal
i think Portugal will win.

Yea props on that call. I wanted to see Japan make it through, I really liked Honda. To bad for the player who hit the bar with his shot, that will haunt him for the rest of his life…

This made me laugh. Best description of Ronaldo I have seen - specially after seeing a casual picture of him on the “Explain soccer to me.” thread.
Personally, I want to see David Villa outshine Ronaldo.
Having said that, when Ronaldo breaks out he is like a malignant boil.
Lets go portugal… I think they will win 2-1.

Same here, German blood shines true.
The Portugal/Spain game has been great so far even though no goals have come through. I hope Portugal puts Danny and Deco in, that would make things real interesting.
Wtf,did somebody jsut elbo Villa in the back of the head? Dick move. And yet again,Rondalo putting on his best actting yet. Being pushed away and yet cringes in pain.
As usual Ronaldo fails to produce on the big day when his team really needed him. Spain don’t look great they will beat Paraguay but I think the whoever wins between Argentina and Germany will beat them.
What a dive of Capdevila. Made me sick to my stomach
