You know what its is? I had high hopes for England b/c the EPL is IMO some of the best football there is - but maybe its not the English players that make it so great, but their imports…
That was a sad display. If I were English I’d move to America.
One of the least competent performances of the whole tournament? I mean, they couldn’t string two passes together; the ball was bouncing off their backs, feet and knees.
However, I must say, Algeria played with positivity and I think they worked well together. Must give them props. for their passion and skill.
They were the only good thing about the game.

So true, the national anthem should also be played with a double bass with only one string. The only ones that seemed to have any fire were Defoe and Wright-Phillips and they were brought on late in the second half! Rooney and Gerrard seemed completely stifled in their positions.

It’s up to the USA now, if they can put together a win against Algeria, than they should be onto the next round. They have to like their chances and the fact that it is in their hands.
They just need to show up for the first half in the next game, and avoid putting themselves in a hole early as they have done recently. Honestly, I hope Onyewu is replaced in our back line, because he looked terrible today and played a part in both of the goals that Slovenia scored.
I also hope Buddle or Gomez gets the start alongside Altidore.
