yo…that is awesome you like nyhc…i am from nyc and i grew up seeing all these bands…even the bad brains reunion shows back in the late 90’s… if any of these guys/girls would pop “hard times” they’d probably add 50lbs to their max squat right there!
I dunno 'bout “hard times” adding 50 to my squat
I am more partial to increase poundages to “Stark Raving Nude” by Armand’s old side project. lol.
MMMmm, the Gods of Iron and Steel do bless the Metal Head that lifts good!
You guys are forgetting about the Prince of Darkness…OZZY!!
For me:
GWAR (If you don’t know, go and find out!!!)
PUYA
Fear Factory
MEtallica
Rage Against The Machine
Nine Inch Nails (Trents remixes are killer)
AC/DC
Pennywise
…and Just to spice it up…
Snoop Dogg!
Live it.
Trav
some of my best workouts were when there was noone in the gym and no music…
gotta definitely go with Slayer’s Seasons album, Pantera’s Vulgar album, FNM’s King for a Day album, uh…oh, I’m diggin on QOTSA’s new one, old Kyuss (love that Demon Cleaner track), and of course, anything by the almighty TOOL.
It’s funny, though, these posts almost always turn into one of those,“I’m gonna out-METAL the last post” kinda things.
Well, I go one of three ways with the tunes.
#1 The pissed off metal or metal/rap:
Pantera, Six Feet Under, Metallica (older), Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park
#2 Some good rap
Ludacris, Juvenille, Method Man, DMX
#3 Techno (Usually preserved for cardio done afterwards)
I like good Progressive & Hard House. Anything by Bad Boy Bill, Richard “Humpty” Vission, Tony Moran, Armand Van Helden, etc.
In my MP3 now: Marilyn Manson, Ill Nino, Hatebreed, Disturbed, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, and a few WWE entrance musics. HHH, the Rage version, remix of the Rage version, and the Motorhead version. Evolution’s theme and Benoit’s entrance. Big Pun, Puffy Daddy and some Snoop Dogg.
