Well i guess everyone will have a different opinion on the subject like most things. For me (get fat easy), i choose not to eat these types of foods.

dubya was wondering about the macros/micros of that soap . . .
OP…
Pick up heavy shit. I mean squat, bench, deadlift. Everything else is secondary to these mass building exercises.
Eat lots of clean food.
Do some HIIT.
Get a puppy…bitches love puppies.
Walkway, been there, done that, and lookin back on it.
Did test only, and did test with finaplix and equipoise, with the latter two u can get leaner, not so much an effect with the test only.
Yes they are powerful drugs best avoided, yes they get you injured if you dont have a really solid natural base of training.
I stand by my reccomendation not to do it, OP not tryin to win shows for money only wants to get into better shape.
Can we get CS or John Meadows on this thread? God’s sake…
Do I need to mention anything else other than how the food causes inflammation in the body?
Do you know why T-Nation created the supplement Indigo-3G?
This type of diet promises comfort that’s why so many people want to believe it…

Yeah, once every week or so fucking idiot. Stop being complaining how comforting it makes your life, no one wants to hear how healthy foods make your pussy hurts.

Can’t believe I just read through this whole thing
OP there was definitely some good advice in here just have to filter
As stated - Get stronger on the important lifts
Eat lots of clean food
Get your test levels checked
And maybe a puppy wouldn’t be a bad idea ![]()
Fitnes4life just made a VERY important point about food causing inflammation in the body.
This was one of the key reasons I reccomended making sure u get your proper dietary fats and eleminate processed foods from your diet.Yes fucking ELIMINATE ,go SSNAZI on your training and diet, tolerate not one dietary mistake or lost rep at the gym, and bring an attitude when u train.Get your sugars from juices, milk, and honey not fake bullshit food. Omega 3s in high dosage, for example from fish oil or olive oil ,GREATLY reduce inflammation in the body and have too many benifits for me to even post here.
U know how when someone goes to the dentist with a seriously infected abcessed tooth, they DO NOT immediately pull the tooth, they prescribe antibiotics to quell the infection. They do this because the body will not heal the inflamed tissues they cut, until it doesnt have to worry about neutralizing inflammation. The body knows to neutralize inflammation that could become systemic before it will remodel tissue.
When your body is in an inflamed state from having to constantly process artificial chemicals with the kidneys, the same thing happens. Your body has limited metabolic energy to send to all tasks it must perform. Neutralizing inflammation in the body diverts resources and energy away from the task of tissue regeneration and that DIRECTLY reduces the trainees recuperative capacity. Less recuperation= less muscle.

haha, best advice yet!
I agree, getting a puppy and walking it around will make bitches stop and talk to you all damn day.OOMG ur puppy is SOOOO cute… True story and having pets around has been proven to reduce blood pressure and stress hormones in their owners as well.A little extra walking will help burn more calories too. Triple win for puppies, I have two of them.
BITCHES LOVE PUPPIES!!!

This guys lifts make no sense. He can lift 20kg with db’s for overhead press but only 35kg with the barbell? What?
Why would you train both when you’re that weak anyway?
I don’t want to seem harsh but maybe do less exercises and focus on compounds instead of leaving juice in the tank for all the isolations.

Hi there, I’m a 34 year old male and have been working out for four years with the aim of getting big however have practically nothing to show for it. Im 5ft 9, weigh 80 kilos (176 pounds) and am at 21% bodyfat. I’m basically the same weight I was when I started working out, only more toned and with less fat which isn’t very impressive ![]()
My workouts currently consist of a 4 day split which I found on another site (with a couple of changes). I do the following:
Tuesday shoulders and calves
Dumbbell shoulder press (3x 6-8 reps) - currently at 20k each hand
Standing barbell press (3 x 8-10 reps) - currently at 35k
Dumbbell lat raises (3x 10-12 reps) currently at 9k each hand
Upright row (4x 8-10 reps) currently at 35 k
Seated calf (raise 6x12-15 reps) currently at 40k
Thursday chest and tri
Dumbbell chest press (4x6-8 reps - currently 34 k each side)
Incline dumbbell press (4x 6-8 reps- currently 30k each side)
Fly machine (4x 8-10)
Dips 4x 8-10 with 10k weight
Triceps barbell curl 4x 8-10 currently at 35k)
Saturday back and biceps
Row machine reverse grip 4x 6-8 (currently 57.5k)
Wide grip pull up - four sets to failure
Bent over dumbbell row 4x 8-10 reps (currently at 18k each hand)
Standing barbell curl 4x 8-10 reps (currently at 30k)
Alternate seated dumbbell curl (4x 8-10 - currently at 12k)
Sunday legs
Squat 4 x 8-10 reps (currently at 90k)
Seated leg press 3x 6-8 (currently about 220k)
Deadlift 3x 6-8 (currently about 70k but I struggle with technique)
Leg curl 3 x 6-8 (currently 65k)
In terms of diet, I was previously aiming for about 4000 calories and 300g of protein a day broadly as follows;
Breakfast: Porridge and Reflex Instant mass shake (400 calorie serving)
Morning snack: reflex instant mass shake
Lunch: chicken and pasta, piece of fruit
Afternoon snacks: 2 instant mass shakes
Evening meal: chicken + pasta
Before bed: bread and tuna - or something else to get the calories up to 4000.
Although I was putting on weight, most of it was fat so I’ve cut back on the calories, largely by replacing the mass shakes with whey protein which has lost me some fat, but also some muscle.
I’m currently now at a complete loss at to what I should do as no matter how much time, effort or money I invest, I make so little progress. I’m close to either deciding to try the steroid route, or just to give up full stop - but before doing so I thought I’d just post this message to see if anyone out there, particularly anyone who has overcome similar problems, has any suggestions on what I should do.Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance

you don’t deadlift, you squat once a week, and your first two workouts hit the smallest muscle groups on your body with more volume than you hit legs and back all week. I’d start there[/quote]
THANK YOU. I was seriously getting tired of people saying it’s an okay split (though he does deadlift). Obviously, it’s not, since it’s not working.
OP, you do deadlifts after squats and leg press and after back day, and you wonder why you’re having problems with form (not to mention a seriously lagging deadlift). I would never put my deadlifts in like that. To be honest, your numbers are rather abysmal for 4 years in the iron game, even considering of lack of muscle gains. I’d focus on building strength first, have a separate day for squats and deadlifts, squat and bench more than once a week, do my main compound exercises first (especially squatting and deadlifting!), lift heavy on the main stuff, and cut out a lot of isolation work (for now) if it is not needed.
I didnt read the whole thread, but besides incorporating ALOT more big lifts == squats, deadlifts, overhead presses, cleans, lunges, pullups etc . To be honest, it could be really good to just play around with a barbell for now… Try less reps, more sets, max rest 1min. There’s ton of lifting articles here to read …
anyway
-eat
-sleep
-no alcohol
-maybe creatine
