I don’t know what his agenda is, but it seems to have something to do with disempowerment and instilling the victim mindset. Who else but a predator would suggest a women leave her home, a place of relative safety, when she hears a noise.
If my girlfriend is home alone and she hears a noise, she knows she is staying put and the first unfriendly that comes through the door uninvited gets shot. There is no de-escalation. There is no confucious. There is no retreat.
how is taking yourself out of harms way instead of escalating a situation to the point of conflict disempowerment?
The false feeling of power in an unknown situation is extremely dangerous. The thought that everything can be solved by power leads to situations like the one in Iraq (I know the UK is fully involved but it was the gun toting USA leading the charge.)
As for why I am discussing something on a discussion based forum. Well, erm, it’s a discussion based forum. If everyone just posted saying ‘The OP is a very clever person and I agree with everything that they wrote’ it would be pretty dull, no?
