P.S. just because a guy drives a Lambo and claims to make lots of money doesnt mean he is well off or even not buried in unsecure debt. Use your brain here, a lambo new costs close to 300-400k, if you make 1M, assuming its not all from Capital gains you are talking 500-600 after tax. What kind of person spends that much of their take home on a car that you can hardly drive? The kind of “rich person” that sleeps in someone’s guest room in stead of a hotel and dates a woman half his age while being her ‘sugar daddy’. Perception is not reality and dont let other people’s shiny thjngs ever let you question your own self worth.
This.

Average new car price = $30,303
Median personal income = $28,567
I’d say Lambo dude is the epitomy of fiscal prudence. How many of us can say that our vehicles cost less than half of our after-tax take home pay?
Also, fwiw, you can pick up a 3 year old used Gallardo for around $125k.

I can. And it’s still worth more than I bought it for.
And if you’re going to buy a Lambo, why the hell would you buy a Gallardo? That’s like buying a Boxter.
The average american also has more in credit card debt than in savings so i’m going to pass on the if everyone jumps off a bridge joke. But yes, you have a point.
And I love Boxsters. My old man had a Boxster S, then a 911 Carera, now has a new 2013 Carera S. My uncle used to have a 911 GT2 that wasnt street legal, was for track only, ive driven them all, plus a 911 Targa S. I will say this, a Boxster S is a legit sports car, and a Boxster Base and Cayman for that matter, not many if any cars on the road at that price that can handle the way they do, or are as sexy.
I love Porsche. And the new 2013 Boxster is nasty. And i realize this is now extremely off topic.
