Random violence sucks. I hate to read about this kind of crap and I also think it happens everyday.
A few NYC cops and prison guards work out at my gym. Trust me you never want to do something that gets you involved with them. The frickin stories will freak you out and it happens all the time.
Glad they got the three. Hope they get the rest. I’ll say one thing for the death penalty. It stops the repeat murderer’s. For that reason alone it should be applied to these scumbags.

On a slightly related note; When I was teaching elementary Phys. Ed. a few years ago, the Carley Brucia incident happened in Florida (guy grabbed a 12 year old girl off the street, it was caught on camera, she ended up dead).
The next day, I start teaching some basic self defense/street awareness in class to my students. The day after that I get 2 (TWO!!) parents complaining to the principal that I shouldn’t be teaching such frightening material. One reason they gave was “Our daughter is named Carley too, and she found that very disturbing”.
Reality-Fuckin’-Check sweetie. You don’t want me teaching your kids to take care of themselves because it’s “scary to imagine”, but you’d have my nuts in a vice wondering why I didn’t bring it up sooner if something ever did happen to them.
People just do not like being reminded that there are some truly evil, truly disturbed people living among them.
