I did a Tonne of yard work again today before this, was a bit smoked.

Everything was hard. So stopped here. Joints inflamed from all the fun yesterday…eh. tomorrow is another day, rather save it for a Much better session.

We have a hedge along our back fence…which Id let go a bit recently lol. Took my a couple of hours to get it trimmed and tidied. The mowed the lawns…then cleaned the pool…then swam in it for a couple of hours at least lol. Parentals came over for a dip also, so that was pretty much the afternoon taken care of.

Just made up a stack of tacos for dinners…pounding a LB of chicken just by myself lol.

Not done yet with my calories, will update later.

Yeah man, only 6 rows from the fence! Great seats for my first visit lol.

Training today was a bit different. Had a very poor sleep last night and efforts to awaken the body today have also fallen flat :joy:.

But I managed to drag my arse into the garage in the late afternoon.

Kettlebell swings:

45 seconds rest between all sets. Still not awake. Haha…

Leg Extensions:

Then lots of various band work. Working 15-20 reps through a heap of different movements.

Have taken One more 10kg jump as planned. By the second set it felt good. Third set was dominated with my last rep paused. Knees/adductors ok. On we go.

So full extension of the half sets today after knocking over the top set so easily…3 sets over the session from two weeks ok. Compared to last week’s top set only effort. Happy. 2.5kg increase finally next week. The first time I hit that top set goal, will be an equal all time PB. It’s coming people.

Worth noting I only used 90 seconds rest today also. Crazy.

Barbell Curl:

Wrist Curls:

40.5x20 ouch.

Using a very slow burn method on the progress here. 0.5kg or 1lb per session. Last set was Hard. Keeping everything as strict as physically possible here. Only 5 reps, yet still a pump!

107.5kg this morning. Weight jumped around a bit after Fridays Final Holiday Fun day. Stomach ‘feeling’ less bloated though, which just feels good…which is motivating.

Finally had a chance to meet the great and powerful @simo74 and his wonderful family today! The last time he was near my part our great country, covid got in the way of being able to catch up.

Being the school holidays here, we took our daughter up to one of the many Zoos in Sydney for a day out. @simo74 and his fam were in town, so we both took that opportunity to share the day together.

Good day out! Kids absolutely loved it from what I could tell :joy:. And everyone got along…!

Following our departure, my fam headed back to my sister’s place nearby for a “quick swim and drink…” That turned into us getting back to Wollongong (my city) at 7pm haha.

Long day. Tired. And had a few things for work I had to address meant no barbell training happened today…

Heavy Bench tomorrow. Will be nice to be so fresh for it.

Pretty Tired today for some reason. Slept well and ate well today etc. wanted to get more work in with some deadlifts, but eh. Got the rxd stuff done and called it a day.

Morning weight 107.6kg. still not dropping water weight particularly well…Hung around a while now from the drinking last Friday :joy:. It will go.

Great session. Press took a while…but the squats I completely Quickly. 2-3 minutes rest had me huffing. Good pump overall I must say. Quads feeling juicey lol. I have seen some regain of muscle from these squats, mostly the glutes, with Some quad mass gain. Would be nice to get my legs back to what they were 6 years ago…just need a solid year of squatting without issue :joy:

Hell yeah. What a great little session. No time for anything else as we gotta take off, but damn happy I took it easy yesterday.

I THINK next week I can get that pesky 4th rep I’ve been after with this weight. I Could just move to 80kg, because 4’s are weird…, but I feel like the job isn’t done with the 77.5kg. Must properly dominate.

a little bit of misleading PB this one. Being light day etc. I’ve also never pushed the 10’s further than this just out of not wanting to, lol.
