Thank you sir! More to come.

No workouts this past weekend…
Instead, attendance at the Knotfest music festival in Sydney!

Never had a chance to see Slipknot live before now, so jumped at it.

Unreal… definitely today Feels like I trained all weekend lol. Body Trashed and smashed in the moshpit. Absolute scenes!

Loved it. Ticked the box. Probably done with both large festivals and insane moshpits now. Haha. That literally covers every metal band I’ve ever wanted to see live. The list is extensive haha.

I don’t even care about Slipknot but that looks like a helluva time!

Yeah it was unreal. They are Great showman man. And Parkway Drive on before then, also great Live!

Gotta take advantage of these shows when they visit Downunder…we don’t get a lot of it here.

Not a bad session for first day of the block. Squats were a bit of a surprise. Mind over matter. Last warmup felt hard and heavy…then went up 5kg and smoked 13 reps.
Bench is getting harder all the time. Especially after the squats. Is what it is, keep grinding, it’s not the focus currently in any case.
Still messing around with the new dumbbells. Tried Incline last time and hated it. Went for flat bench instead and everything felt better, most importantly no shoulder issues.

Fun.

My old man knows one of the backing singers who goes to the same gym as him in England. We got free tickets and went back stage to meet him after. Pretty chill guy.

That’s pretty cool actually. Always nice to Know people.

94x8 triceps dead haha.

Started out a bit shit, but turned into a productive session. Refusal to give in helped.
Deadlift didn’t feel particularly good, hamstring was still affected and it felt like it was applying some kind of CNS handbrake lol. First 3 reps were perfect and I thought I was atleast on for 8 reps, but reps 4-5 felt yuck, and something told me to stop on rep 6.
6 is the minimum target so it’s fine…but annoying.

103x11 (PR). - 227lbs. Basically bodyweight rows. Haha. Feel like that’s not bad!

Leg Curls:

12x13
22x7
26.5x12 - 58.5lbs

Not a bad session. Felt quite lethargic today after travelling for two days for work…wasn’t going to train, but my training partner turned up haha. So off we went. Squats were a little harder than last week with the Glute burn becoming too much after rep 11 this time haha. Seems a bit of a pattern - hit a PR, then it’s hard for a week or so, then PR again. Hopefully that’s how it goes!
Bench was better this week. Extra rep on set 1, then a huge 9 reps on set 2. Weird. Take what you can get when calories are not high.
