Annoying that I was lazy on the first set of dead’s. Trouble is the only challenging part of this lift is the grip portion. My rest times were 90 seconds, just to make it harder on the grip on the half sets. But, this variation is All about technique, and I need to be better.
No excuses. Just improve.
Quick conditioning workout with a mate at lunch time.
We used the thick AF battle rope for the torture.
100 reps with alternating arms slam whip things whatever.
Rest while other person does the same.
50 relax with double arms slam things.
4 times through each.
Smokey. Interestingly…I faired the better of the two of us. My mate is a former semi-pro soccer player who only retired 12 months ago, and switched to weight training with me. But he only lifts twice per week. Unexpected outcome.
Up early this morning to go fishing.
Not a bad day…3 Black Bream.
A bad days fishing it still better than a good day working as they say haha.
Heaps of walking involved fishing a river near here, covered 7.5km apparently according to the phone tracker.
Needless to say squatting wasn’t going to happen afterwards haha. So I hit up some pushups and more chinups, with some bodyweight squats to keep everything moving like it should.

The chins were HARD. Made the first set of 10, then did sets 9,8 and 7 with one small break toward the end of each lol.
So a rest day turned into a pretty high volume day. Oops.

Lounged around for alot of it. Forced myself into a long walk with the doggos.
Didn’t help lol.
Dragged myself around to a mates place to watch the UFC…and that was my day. Ha.

Then TWO Tabata rounds.

Twice through on each Tabata round.
Then a pushup pyramid with training partner.
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 rest periods only as long it took for the other bloke to do the set.
Then a 400m jog followed by a 3km walk.

time your400m.lmao. I could do sets of 320 m which is around a rugger field in approx 1 35 which is slow as shit granted and a long way off my all time 4 hunner of 57.3 at 15 yrs old. I havent ran in a number of months tho. Was just flexing on the workmates a couply days ago about my “athletic” achievements,unfortunately the reality is its not where you been,its where you at that matters.Id lose currently. They keep up the running,i dont.
