Well, another good training day in the books.
I skipped touch footy last night on account of the back issue Tuesday night as a precaution (weights much higher priority for me), as a result I was ready to rock today on day 3…

Have moved Pressing from day 4 last block, to slot 1 day 3 this block, always serves as a great warmup for anything lower body I find.

115x8 (253.5lbs) incedentally, second heaviest weight of last block. And it felt very comfortable.

Had planned to just repeat this portion of the block with the same loads as I was now pressing before it…meaning start with 90kg. Mentally, that just wouldn’t do it for me. Haha. So we through on another 1kg to make it a progressive weight. I’m actually 2.5kg lighter than I was at the start of that block…so that’s also something significant.

I really should have completed these activities in the opposite order. Haha. Good news is I’m not really sore today…looking to squat later this afternoon after we get home.

Feeling like I might to give Bench a rest for a while after this block. Shoulder isnt loving it at all.

Good to reason to chase the Press again I guess and use benching as an accessory. Few weeks to go yet though, but it’s been shitty for a few weeks now and the deload didn’t do enough.

Work Xmas party yesterday. Had to travel to Sydney for it, about 90 minutes on the train from my city (I work completely remotely full-time). No time to train at all, so decided to Stand on the train the whole way, then walk to the venue rather than catch a cab, about 25 minutes walking. I did the same on the return trip, half drunk. Hahaha. Plus some venue changes.

And Damn I’m sore today. :rofl:

Another walk this morning to try and loosen up after waking up quite stiff (old man problems). Definitely feeling good though otherwise. Always good to offset debauchery with N.E.A.T during the day.

As a bonus, I literally had the best damn butter vegetable curry I’ve ever eaten in my life yesterday for lunch. Got three full serves of it with rice, and naan bread made from scratch (also epic level).
And probably thr best banana bread I’ve ever eaten for desert, also made from scratch by the chef right in front of us. Just amazing.

Chased it all down with 5 cocktails, 3 double bourbons, and 2 amazing craft beers. Pretty bloody good end of year function.

Got a physio booked for tomorrow morning 8am for me shoulders. Buggers are getting worse by the week. It mostly feels like it’s a tightness thing, but often than can be a protective measure to prevent further damaging. Probably been benching too heavy to be honest lol.

Anyway, best get them ironed out before the real pointy end of this block comes about. Really like to bench 3 solid ass plates again before NYE…
