Bench was great. 110x3 easy better than two days ago. Some follow up singles afterwards moved very clean. Didn’t overdo it.
Press was also pretty good actually. The 12-13 days away from it seems to have cleared that up. Shoulder was a bit dicky, so the rest was good.
DB incline a Little but harder after Two pressing exercises before it instead of the one. Still good, I’ll start moving it up from here, feel like I’m Ok to do that.
Yikes. Squats were hard. But not Crazy. Just a little inconsistent today, who knows why. You’d think after the amount of squatting I’ve done in the last 16 years, id have a better mastery . Think it’s my left hip flexor being a bit tight. I did what I could to get it feeling nicer, by the final set of the triples, I was happy with them . Ridiculous.
Deads are hard after squat volume. One set was enough. Expected 6…and could have grinded them out, but for what?
Extensions were a nice finish. Nice pump.
I’ll just keep chipping away…but it was nice to get some squat volume in. That’s the largest amount of work I’ve done with back squats since returning to them, and since June 2025 where I did 127.5x5x3 before breaking down shortly after, today just beating out that day in terms of total work completed, so a Milestone of sorts. At least one more session with this weight before I move on I’d think, it still Felt hard, and I want to complete a session with it in total dominance.
Back to deadlifts, I STILL have a mental block on them. I guess I just need to be more patient, and not be so hard on myself . Creeping the load up over time should fix it. That was a 5kg bump for a volume set, and REALLY oddly, I had fkn NERVES standing in front of it, despite ripping 180kg off the ground for 2x8 not that long ago. What a strange thing the mind can be.
Going to settle into another upper lower split for the time being, just a bit more condensed than the previous phase, with a mix of accumulation type days like this one, and intensity days like yesterday.
Pretty good today. Bench maybe an rpe 8 at worst. Press probably a 7. Definitely easy effort there. Good volume on the back offs for both.
Simple Accessory today before getting back to the desk. As long as I get One done, I’m happy. But I’d prefer two as we go along.
Quite sore after squats yesterday…but was fine. Tomorrow might be a different story, and will decide if I squat again, or squeeze in an accessory bonus day.
It occurred to me belatedly that you were most likely referring to the act of making said baby. For purposes of clarity, I have NOT seen that live. There are however, extensive conversations on the subject in our office.
Yeah bench was stronger again today. It’s feeling better and stronger every session. Good.
Press was also Great. It hasn’t felt great since I hurt my shoulder. It’s been a very long time…too long. But it very good today, also strong. Think someone turned down the gravity.
DB inclines for the boobz. Finally added more weight. And they still felt good. Good.
