Wisey's Training Log - StrongEveryDay

Decided early yesterday to completely flip and rearrange my garage…
Somewhere along the way, I also decided to paint the wall that is now behind the gym, Black. Came up a right treat…everything now better organized, more functional, the car fits better, and I’m happy. 14 total hours later :joy:.

Had to christian the Gym 7.0 of course.

Bench:

20x10
20x5
60x5
80x5

87.5x6
92.5x6
92.5x6

Notes:

  • Bench was ok. Pretty tired as it turned out, with the session running more on motivation than anything else, but Had to be done, as that what you do when you set up a new gym :joy:.
  • Wanted to do DB rows, but wanted to go to bed more.

Deadlift:

70x6
120x3
160x1

160x6
160x6
160x6

Ham Curls:

25x15
25x15

Notes:

  • Deadlift felt So clean and crisp from rep one. The weeks worth of daily work has cleaned it right up and made it feel naturally efficient again. It was probably good to go in 5 days actually. Something to keep in mind.
  • Ham curls were, incedentally, a PR. Felt much more comfortable doing them having Not squatted etc before hand.
  • Quick sessions suit me better currently. I’m very active every day at the moment with high step counts and lots going on, I don’t feel I Need to do much else.
  • New gym layout is fkn sick. Whole garage is just a nicer more organized space, no longer messy and stressful.

That’s the word on the street.

No such thing as a ham curl PR mate

I take what I can get.

Yeah there is. It’s not only boldly going where u haven’t been before in terms of just crunching weight, there’s reps, there’s sets, there’s time and other tangibles such as order of exercise selection, temperature and frequency of training days. Keeps the mind happy knowing that you did at least something however small better than before. You being an experienced devotee yourself know that linear doesn’t happen with just straight weight,we d all be lifting cars by now

Yeah life gets in the way and rewinds on ..again. At least in your 40s you still lift

Notes;

  • Smoked today again. Finished sorting through some more stuff from the garage then washed all three cars inside and out… What a punish.
  • press felt heavy, energy was low. Got it done and moved on.

For some reason I initially read this as a verb rather than an adjective. I thought, what a strange thing for him to post.:rofl:

As I re read it, it’s an odd way to shape said sentence, and I apologize for my indiscretion.

Well maybe he DID smoke a bunch of stinky pot, and now you made him all self-conscious about it.

Fair. Hadn’t thought of it that way. My apologies if I made you uncomfortable @wiseman83 . In my defense, I thought of cigarettes.

I’ve not smoked more than a single puff of any cigarette my whole life. Disliked it that one time. :joy:.

And never smoked pot.

See… That’s why I thought it was weird.

My partners the same, despite having a father that smoked for probably 50 years until he was forced to give up cos of cancer, she’s never even had a drag. She actually looks quite youthful for her age because of this teetotal type policy. Nice clear skin. Never done drugs no interest. People with bad habits can’t hide them forever, eventually it’s made manifest by your appearance as u age. I’m early 50s now and some contemporaries of mine look like half a foot from the retirement village. Hard living with no exercise
