Won’t your hands hurt? Reminds me of when I attempted smolov jr for deads,couldn’t even finish day 2 lol

That’s not a surprise lol.

You can’t do anything Everyday if you expect the volume to be that of a normal session.

Gotta take your weekly volume, and spread it over the week to have Any hope.

Lol I’ve attempted smolov jr on a number of movements,deadlifts was the worst in terms of completion

  • Deadlifts felt great. 190 moved smooth.
  • still deloading everything else. Elbows still hurt, bench felt Very heavy in the hands, and moved slow.

Notes:

  • More deadlifts…day 4 in a row actually. Best they’ve felt so far in terms of power/speed. Both reps looked the same. That’s what we want.
  • It’s actually been a WHILE since I pulled 200kg from the floor…maybe 7-8 weeks
  • Bench felt a lot better today. Elbows almost back to normal…They felt good with the curls and rows.
  • Legs felt a lot better too to be honest, knees were almost 100%. Will attempt some leg work tomorrow or Monday.

Let’s see who can hang on longer.. 7 days in a row here. My cable curl Vs your deadlift. I’m not actually going that hard tho and Def not logging my legs,their pathetic. Similar style to you but obviously not as tough as deadlifting,get a bit of an overreach going on. Get tired,rest,rebound.

Couple days off, enjoying a high level of both degustation AND intoxification!

2.9kg gained between Xmas eve and this morning (boxing day). Honestly thought I put in a bigger effort than that :joy:.

  • Just getting Something in this afternoon. Feel slow not just from the amazing silly few days, but also from a very high activity level to go with it. Half a day at the beach, All day messing about with the family on Xmas day, despite the cold weather, we also ended up in the pool :joy:.
  • As good a time as ever to begin acclimation back into Low Bar squats, wouldnt matter What squat I chose to do today, nothing was going to be pushed. I initially intended to deadlift most days to the end of the year, but my knees have been great for like 5-6 days now. I STILL got some crepatis after the second set of 80, but they feel ok. Wanted 3-4 sets of 4, but yeah those noises told me two sets was enough.
  • Bench just felt awkward and slow. Felt good on the 3rd set of 80kg so pushed the weight up. Last set felt as it should.
  • Today was just about good reps. Good practice. Get in, move about, then go back to the cricket. Mission accomplished.

Had planned on training today… Instead spent the whole day taking down Christmas lights. 4 hours for mine, then went and helped other neighbors with their displays also until we had cleared and packed away 3 houses worth of lights.

Absolutely smoked. Shared dinner with said neighbors afterwards and a few cheeky well earned beverages. I guess training can wait until tomorrow :joy:.

That’s lovely. I don’t actually rate my neighbours that hugely. Too much bickering and getting in each others biz. I generally give them the odour of “talk to the hand”. It’s not at war type silliness but I just don’t care. 1 old biddy who my Mrs likes unfortunately,loves to try and connect up the street. Nope. The rest you never see or they are at each other. There’s been a couple of very minor skirmishes stretching out over years where I’ve been angered but nothing doing.

We are lucky in this street, in that most of us are at the same stage in life, with similar lives and interests, and similar attitudes.

It’s a rare situation. And I’m grateful everyday for it. It certainly makes for a pleasant life.

When I lived in Sydney in the garden apartment I owned, I didn’t even know my neighbors either side. Barely saw them, never heard them, it’s like they didn’t exist. We had friends in the complex, but we were all spread out and only found each other through committee meetings, so again same interests and attitudes etc.

That’s exactly it and u hit the nail on the head with that 1. I barely care about people I have nothing in common with,apart from the principle of trying to be good to my neighbour when the need arises. It’s only by random lottery that we all landed here and you’ll struggle to engage me in topics regarding others that apart from living next to,I’m simply not interested. Gossip bores me. However I’m not a shitty neighbour,we do keep a lazy eye on anything amiss.
