Care to tell some amusing stories as to why? Even though we already potentially know the answer. Lol
I started training there after he left, and only learned about it via their Facebook/Yelp etc.
Apparently his behavior caused members to voice enough complaints to the point where management apologized and ensured that any affiliations between he and the gym had been severed.
@ OP
You forgot two of his standards, wich are a 200 pound Press and Chin ups with 100 pounds added.
That sounds a lot like assistance. OP doesn’t do assistance because he doesn’t understand the point. He also can’t do chin ups because he can’t find a place to do them. True story.
I understand that people have their own tastes, but the fact that this guy has a following just leaves me absolutely baffled. Each and every claim he makes is ridiculous in both it’s absurdity and how obviously false it is.
I don’t get it either. But I got a feeling it comes down to drama and entertainment with everything else being secondary.
You’ve…seen the guy we elected President, right?
(I know, that stuff belongs in PWI, but still…)
I feel it’s more likely that he gives people an excuse for why they aren’t achieving.
Maybe. Since he is one of the guys who likes brining up the whole fake natty crap.
I haven’t watched enough of his stuff to know, it just seems to be a common theme with people who do follow him.
Several of those you tube guys like pushing that narrative. Oddly it’s always aimed at anyone who might be slightly stronger and or more developed .
I’m below most of that and most people acknowledge that I lift (especially non-lifters). When I have a pump, people ask me if I have a padded suit on. ![]()
Also Blaha is def not the guy to take advice from. I’d rather take advice from AlphaDestiny
If you bench 315x1, squat 405x1, and deadlift 500x1 you’ll look solid and athletic (if you are lean).
But if you can bench 315x20, squat 405x20, and deadlift 500x20, you are FOR SURE going to look like you lift heavy things.
High rep deadlifts are dead
Anyone remember bauber? He was posting when I first started to read this site here and there, I think. He would do crazy stuff like that - multiple sets of really high reps with crazy heavy weight.
I remember reading some of his training a while ago. Absolutely insane
Its just Stronglifts 5x5 with his name pretty much
I went back and found some of his stuff. Dude was an animal. There is another dude on here whose name eludes me right now. He has a training journal and is moving big weight for high reps as well. From his stats he’s an absolute monster. Carl something I think?
Which is just a knock off of something else.
Whenever I’m feeling down about myself I watch a Jason Blaha video and realize it could be worse, I could be Jason Blaha. I immediately feel better.
