Why Won't Romney Release His Tax Returns?

You are a funny little man Pitt. I think you go to bed each night and dream of all the many benefits that the rich get that you do not. When in reality they are taxed at a higher rate. Do I have to say it again? Okay…the top 1% pay 37% of all taxes. The top 10% pay 70% of all taxes! Now does that look to you like the rich are escaping paying far more than their fair share? Stop reading the democratic talking points and thinking that is reality…it isn’t.

Romney has paid more taxes in one or two years than than Barack Obama has paid in his entire life!

Stop this endless nonsense and go read a book.
Well Zeb you are an unfunny fat man . By the way I am 6’1" 225lbs 34 inch waist , most people do not consider me little . I am how ever funny. My last books include biographies of George Washington, Thomas Paine , Benjamin Franklin. I have also read 1776 and my lastest accomplishment was catch 22 in which I really enjoyed .
I didn’t mean you were little physically, how would I even know that? And who cares about that anyway?

When it comes to politics you are very “little” meaning you cannot think (big) beyond your own preconceived beliefs. Fighting with me isn’t important. The only thing that should be important to you, me and the rest of us is the truth. And getting the truth from any of these guys is a mighty tall order. But I can assure you that you are being fed a pack of lies from Obama and his minion.

You have to start thinking for yourself Pitt. Believe it or not Obama and the democrats can only win if they demonize Romney and success. Hence, there are going to be lying about how “the rich do not pay their fair share”. I just posted the truth to you and I can back it up and have in the past. And if that is true that means that Obama is lying! As the rich pay MORE than their fair share.

You have to rise above it and see it for what it is.

Once again the media doing Obama’s dirty work. This time it is Newsweek, next time it will be another schill for the democratic party. CNN, MSNBC, or maybe they’ll feel that the youth vote is slipping and call out Jon Stewart or the many other so called “comedians.” It’s unfortunate but the republicans not only have to take on Obama, but about 85% of the media as well.

Hey Mufasa what do you say about Newsweek calling Romney a wimp?

How come they’ve never once run a cover story that was negative toward Obama?

Come on Mufasa tell us all about how there is no media bias.

HA!

haha, I’ll end the suspense and let everyone know there is a 0.000000000001% chance an investor in Bain has any idea what-so-ever what Romney paid in taxes, and that investor would only have that % chance if Romney showed him his tax return, which, isn’t happening.

That isn’t how PE works, not even remotely close. By the time how much Romney made or lost even comes into sight beyond “best guess” the outside investors are long ago out of the picture. And by the time it comes to put it all together on Romney’s 1040, shit, outside investors are as foreign to the process at that point as someone from Pluto would be to you and I…

His source isn’t an investor.

I read MSNBC and Fox, and figure the truth is in the middle.

I notice MSNBC doesn’t run the same story all day very often, and on Tuesday and Wednesday ran articles that paint Romney negative, losing or otherwise in a bad light all day, and in 3 different spots on the page…

The Obama story about how he promised no negative ads, and then ran nothign but negative ads was up for less than an hour.

This shit works too. I like to go to “being liberal” on facebook and read just how retarded the general population can be, (I’m sure “being conservative” has just as many puppets) and am slightly taken back by how deluded some people are. I mean every time a tax subject comes up, joe plumber suddenly becomes a CPA with 20 years experience, parrotting what some journalist, who doesn’t know what he is talking about either, said in an un-sited article.

I have a great respect for all bean counters  but IMO you can not see the miracle that we refer to as the tax code . I have been self employed for years and have taken many write offs. Some of them were so good it was like beafitting from your own money tax free. I am small potatoes , ask ZEB :), I know the more ways you play it the more things you can write off.

Question , If I incorporated my dogs into an llc could i write off their expenses ?

First, you get a BS certification that they are guard dogs.

Then they sleep at your place of work a few days in a week.

Write them off as business expenses.

Well I spend over 100 hours a year auditing a PE firm, and over 1,100 hours a year preparing the tax returns for two seperate PE firms, incuding the members of those firms individual returns.

I spend half of my career doing the tax work for people that do the same thing Romeny did at Bain. (Yes I work about 2,400 hours a year.)

I understand the flow of information, and who knows what. I can tell you right now, there is such a small chance that Harry Reid source is an investor that I’m more inclinded to think he is making up total bullshit. One of two things is made up, his source or his claim.

As for writeoffs, and how beauitful they are… There aren’t enough in the world to bring someone down to zero, that is making millions. Well, at least not for 10 years in a row.

Could you? Sure. Would it stand up under inspection? Doubt it, but it would depend on if it was a legit business or not.

If you rented the dogs out for whatever reason, and accepted payment from people for use of your dogs, then yeah.

If you are just looking to write off their food and vet bills, you are looking at possible fraud charges. There are well documentated cases about pets and taxes.

Then the costs of breeding, and only the costs associated with breeding could be taken to reduce the income from sale of the puppies, yes.

This would be such small $, I doubt you would come under audit at all.

I agree you could not bring it down to zero. but writing off money is like not earning it but getting to spend it If you gross $100,000 and write off $90,000 your net income that you pay taxes on in $10,000
