Well, of course politicians lie but we’ve already discussed that to death. You draw a fine distinction between Romney’s lies and Obama’s lies and I say there is really no difference. I’m not against Obama because he lies…as I said they all do. I’m against him because he is a tax hiking big spender.

Simple really.
I have broken down my analysis of the type of lies failing to keep a promise is in a different league than denying an action or point of veiw that was well documented. My reservations of Obama are also of telling truth but Obama has an uncooperative Congress. He also has trouble putting Eric Holder on a leash
I am thankful that Obama has an uncooperative Congress. He passed the biggest government take over of private industry which included the biggest tax hike in history to go along with it when Congress was cooperating.

You see these are the things that are important to me. Trying to decide whose lies are worse is a waste of time.

I vote to keep more of my hard earned money and there is no question that Romney will help me do that.
I have no problem making up my mind , who the bigger liar is . And maybe you deserve a big LIAR for a president I do not feel that I do
Well you have one now so…

Romney won’t release his tax returns because he gets less flack than if he did releases them

Who gives a fuck about his tax returns? I mean ANYONE who has been in business for themselves and earned over 150K per year has done SOMETHING that could be perceived as “shady” (but did not break the LAW) with their taxes that a regular w-2 earner will not have had the opportunity to take advantage of. Most Democrats are NOT business owners, so of COURSE they’re going to cry about it. If you want a lower tax rate like wealthy business owners, grow a pair of balls and START A FUCKING SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS. If you can’t do that, then shut the fuck up and stop whining about it.

What Mitt Romney did with his money in 2007 - 2009 when the financial world was crashing down around us was probably smart at the time. It probably protected his assets WHICH HE EARNED and had a RIGHT to protect. Given that he was a Governor, I highly doubt he’d be foolish enough to have done anything illegal. He’s so square he’s probably never broken the speed limit.

At any rate, it’s nobody’s business but his. Just as YOUR tax returns are nobody’s business but YOURS.

Sorry , but I give more than a fuck
pittbulll wrote:

What do you hope to learn from them? Honestly.

What do you think those returns are going to tell people? That he is rich? That he has money in foreign accounts? That he made money in a down economy? That he paid a lower rate than some people would like him to have?

We already know the above is true. So that can’t be it. What do you think that return will tell you?

I am very familiar with a vast majority of his return for 2010 that he released. I can go through it line by line if you want.
angry chicken wrote:
It is unlikely, unless the person preparing the return is an idiot or just doesn’t care, you would even be able to tell where and what an individual doing the above did from simply looking at a return.

It is like all these people are calling for the returns because they think it will be some giant “got-cha” moment and Mitt will fall from grace because ‘the people’ uncovered what a couple hundred IRS agents haven’t over the last X number of years…

Like I said earlier. 99.9% of people won’t understand what the returns say. The media is going to spin the shit out of it.

This is just another distraction by the Obama campaign, because if they actually focused on governance records, he might get destroyed.

Sorry , but I give more than a fuck
He released two years of tax returns already the same number as Ronald Reagan released and every other candidate from both parties with fee exceptions (as I’ve previously pointed out). Obama is trying to make an issue of the tax returns. WHy? Because he’s been President for four years and he has nothing to run on.

What’s he going to do brag about raising the debt to 16 Trillion?

Or, talk about how he’s put more people on food stamps (43 million) than any other President?

Or how about brag about unemployment being over 8% for 44 months in a row?

So his entire campaign is reduced to… “Romney is an evil rich guy…”

Pathetic.

@Zeb I am betting he has paid no taxes for the years he did not releases. Which is not his fault , I would not have paid mine if I did not have to . But it could demonstrate the disparity between the working stiff and the altra wealthy

You are a funny little man Pitt. I think you go to bed each night and dream of all the many benefits that the rich get that you do not. When in reality they are taxed at a higher rate. Do I have to say it again? Okay…the top 1% pay 37% of all taxes. The top 10% pay 70% of all taxes! Now does that look to you like the rich are escaping paying far more than their fair share? Stop reading the democratic talking points and thinking that is reality…it isn’t.

Romney has paid more taxes in one or two years than than Barack Obama has paid in his entire life!

Stop this endless nonsense and go read a book.

Edit: When Obama and company actually have the audacity to say that the rich are not paying their fair share it is easy to blow it off and think that no one will believe such garbage, as the facts speak for themselves. But, I caution those who want to replace Obama to not take this lightly there are people like Pitt out there that gobble this crap up as if it is the truth. Amazaing!

There is a very, very unlikely chance of that happening.

That would require massive, massive losses, which would have been carried forward onto his 2010 return, which I don’t recall seeing. (Could be there, but I don’t remember them.)

Is it possible he is paying around 15%, sure, but very very unlikely he has paid “no taxes”.

The next few years that he could release but has not will look very much like the two years that he did release. But why would he release any more years? Because Obama told him to? LOL…So he releases two more years and they look like the first two. Then Obama says “release more years.” The campaign starts to be about Romney’s taxes and not about Obama’s failure as President.

I agree. It is really a non-issue.

I do not see any liberal talking heads taking shots at his time as governer of Mass, one of the most liberal states in the nation. Imagine that. Mitt has experience working across party lines and a record of governance…

But why address that non-sense? His tax returns and personal wealth are really more important.

If his private business practices/tax filings are going to ruin the country if he is elected, someone please point out how they effected his time leading a state?

Also, the pro-gay marriage camp needs to fact check the first American Governor that ordered the issuance of gay certs. Obama says “well, um, I um, lets see um, yeah, people shoudl be allowed to do what they want.” And he is a hero. Romney gives the people what they want, even though he personally doesn’t believe it and he is an evil rich man who doesn’t pay enough tax.

FFS I hate the general population.

Don’t hate them they only know what they are told. If we had a fair media Obama’s poll numbers would be around 40% at this point. All that means is that Romney is going to have to spend big to point out all of the information about Obama that the media refuses to show. Fortunately he has a very large campaign bank and will out spend obama by almost 2 to 1 in the final 60 days.

Interesting point of fact, Obama has out spent Romney so far by well over 2 to 1 all negative ads talking about how evil and rich Romney is “Bain Capital…bla bla bla” And the race is still a virtual dead heat!

That tells me that Obama’s support has peaked early and that most who begin paying attention after Labor Day are going to swing Romney’s way. The Obama camp was hoping to be up by a solid 8 to 10 points by August 1st and it didn’t happen. As they know that they will be out spent in the later days.

One more telling point will be the republican national convention which is coming up. If Romney gets a big bump from that, say 10 points or so and only loses half that much after the democratic national convention which follows then Obama is finished as he does not have the money to close the gap and Romney (as I said) will be spending big in the final 60 days.

This is still anyone’s race as I said the media will not allow Obama to fall without a fight so they will be on the attack in September and October if it looks like Romney is getting too far ahead. But at this point in time Romney is actually looking very good!

I wonder if I perceive Romney as being a liar when he is fact a wimp. I would be nice to know him personally.

I’m just waiting for someone to post what Harry Reid said on Tuesday so I can rebut it with reality.

First, Romney was a merciless vampire capitalist who held down defenseless kids and cut their hair against their will. Also, he kicked puppies and ate babies.

Now, apparently, he is a wimp.

Comedy gold.
