But it is true that the pill, for the majority of the female population negatively impacts libido.
Using anecdotal evidence about the pill’s effects on libido is very flawed. People clearly have more sex and are more promiscuous than previous generations (at least, the trend is a linear increase over many generations), but if we are to observe the pill’s specific effects on female libido we should look at this current generation, compare same demographics and even different countries where lifestyles are similar but usage of birth control varies (e.g. condoms vs. the pill vs. condom + pill).
Even then, it’s hard to separate cultural values regarding dating and sex from the pursuit of sexual relations.

Good for you! I had 2 serious girlfriends in my past that I demanded go off the pill (I’ve always been creative in bed and intercourse wasn’t always the be-all-end-all to me and my girlfriends).
One of the things I’ve heard women say when they go off the pill was “I lost 8 pounds just like that”. That right there indicates to me that hormonal supplementation has adverse side effects most women are unaware of… or just choose to ignore.
