Didn’t TC write an article on this a while back?

The pill destroyed my libido. Fuck the pill. Never again.
Can you please elaborate? My wife is on the pill and I think she is having libido issues as well. Either that or I’m horribly ugly/bad in bed. Obviously I’d rather think it’s her.
its you…your a steelers fan…nuff said.
x2!!!
This makes me wanna be ignorant and deny the fact, but it must be true. Girls nowadays often like feminine guys, and I’m not talking about guys who are just comfortable with their sexuality; I’m talking about guys with high estrogen, girly guys. I saw it in high school, college, and at the gym now. Granted, there are some positive relationships with cute, nice chicks and cool, nice, masculine guys. These relationships are real and are the exception nowadays.
When you talk to smart old people, they say the trade-workers and masculine guys like us weightlifters should be getting the girls, not these little feminine guys who love cardio and dolls. They say dating and relationships ain’t what they used to be.
Gee, I wonder why. I’m sure our cortisol-fueled modern lives also play a role. I’m sure our unhealthy diets also play a role.
It makes perfect sense that a hormonal pill that prevents a girl from getting pregnant would fuck up her natural sex drive, natural sexual preferences, and natural hormones. This would cause her to pick the wrong mate.
To continue the timeline in that article, you also have NSync and Backstreet Boys of the 90’s, and howabout B2K. Now we have reached a new level of faggishness with the Jonas Brothers. What the fuck young fag-ass 6 year old boy is out there now just waiting to be the new star of the 2010’s.
Listen to some of the girls who posted on this thread. They are telling it first hand. Their libido decreased from taking the pill. Maybe some don’t get the suppression. Maybe the ones of you who are on the pill would have a much better sex drive if stopped taking it.
I have a good idea for male birth control- soy milk and beer. Then we’ll see the problem worsen. We won’t even be able to tell who’s got the cock and pussy until they take their fuckin’ clothes off.
Sorry, I know I made some politically incorrect, offensive remarks. I think it gets the point across better.
What do y’all think of all this matter?
You cannot offend me in any way.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND OBSERVATION ALERT
I’ve more or less bought into the philosophy and general rules for life that are prescribed by this website and most of it’s more respected members over the past 5 years and have incorporated them into my everyday speech and actions, so, saying that in a less wordy way, I’m not a girly man.
My girl’s on the pill and likes me the way I am, I pull no punches in our relationship, yet maintain equal levels of respect. On top of that (pun) her libido if not matches, exceeds, my own … ie we have sex a lot.
Moral of the story: most pop surveys and studies, while have some elements of truth, ARE NOT UNIVERSAL. So, don’t put all your chips on that one number, kiddos.
Could be. Could also be that there aren’t many instances where a man is obviously useful these days. Guys go get pedicures with their girlfriends during a delightful Saturday out, after which they go to Bed Bath & Beyond, but only if they have enough time. This all works out until this guy pisses off the wrong person in traffic and tries to break another man’s fist with his nose.
Interesting, I’ve wondered about some of this myself, not the birth control, but for the reasons some girls don’t like men who look like men, I’ve got a full beard that I have to shave and I always have a shadow and there are some girls who don’t like that… they want a baby face. Although there are still plenty that do.
I’ve often thought it probably has more to do with feminism and the growing idea that men’s role in western society has basically been ruined to the point where men are considered next to useless.
Another thing is that I’m no bodybuilder, but an athlete. I’m 5’9" range from 177-180lbs, very lean I’d estimate around 7-9% body fat, very visible 6 pack. My arms are about 15-15.5 inches, wide shoulders, thighs are about 25"… so I’m not huge by any means, but muscular and athletic looking… and I have had girls say I’m too big and ‘muscley’.
We always overanalyze and debate stupid stuff like this. Real women like real men. The women who aren’t attracted to “manly” men aren’t who most of us are looking for, anyway, so who cares?

End 'o thread right there.

And you can thank Oprah and the View for this. They have basically made women today regard men as good for nothing, except as sperm donors so that they can have a kid when they want one. Other than that, we serve no purpose since they can do everything in the world. I’m not saying that women should go back to the 50s and 60s and stay home and cook and clean. But regarding each other as equals would be nice.
Actually… Unless your a science denying flat-earther…
There have been several studies that have consistent results. This isn’t new news…
Studies show female preferences change during unregulated cycles as well…
Men’s preferences don’t change with their own short term hormonal rhythms. However, we do respond to females hormonal cycles. We tend to prefer just prior to and fertile portion… In person, smell only and even pictures…
Hormones are a larger issue then the just the pill. Plenty of environmental or workplace exposures to estrogens as well as other endocrine distrupters…
Now for the Pill (and its variants) is a whole 'nother topic. The risk profile is amazing… They have rejected cancer drugs for fatal cancers with lower risks then the Pill presents to the general female population. They have rejected male birth controls methods with much lower risk… God help special populations, like smokers, women prone to clotting, and etc…

Folks, it’s the Daily Mail.
So it must be true, right?
I have no libido difficulties at all due to the pill.
Me too. And my bf is jacked and has arms bigger than his head, which for me, is a huge turn on.
Wow, that was really stupid. The trend of more boyish leading men in movies is explained 100 percent by the business trying to appeal to younger demographics. Not the changing taste of women in general.
The author didn’t even make an attempt to connect how taking the pill could affect a woman’s choice in men as it relates to her normal menstrual cycle. Only the implied idea that during the few days out of the month when a woman would normally be attracted to masculine men she might not be. Nothing quantifiable was offered.
I’ll give you guys something quantifiable. Masculine men are still reproducing. I would bet at a higher rate than non-masculine men.

You’re forgetting about supplying the funding to support a life style they like to live and emotional dumping ground.

This is exactly what I was going to say.
And to add. Everytime I tell my gf that I’m going to gain a little weight she always replies with “are you sure, I mean you’re already big enough”. But so far every time I’ve put on a few lean pounds I’ve only gotten genuine approval for it. Women, just like men, may think they know what they like in their minds but tastes change in real life.

Much wisdom I sense in this one. Listen to him you must.
V
My personal Pill experience:
I was a horny teenager. Once I learned about orgasm, I couldn’t get enough. I went off to school and got my first real boyfriend, and subsequently went on the Pill.
I was on it for ten years. I remained interested in sex, orgasmed regularly, and never thought anything was wrong. I had no mood swings and was quite healthy on it. I was frequently more horny than my boyfriends, but sex wasn’t constantly on my mind.
I went off it a year and change ago, when I decided I’m at a point in my life where a kid wouldn’t be the end of the world.
Holy fucking hell. The horny teenager came back. I thought I’d outgrown my desire for constant sex, but it was just repressed. I feel like ten years of great sex were stolen from me. I love being horny and can’t believe I didn’t put my sexual complacency and medication together.
I don’t want a kid right now at this stage in my life, but I’d risk that before I dope myself again.

Hypothesis: Maybe these Oprah and View women want a man that is not more marketable than they are, lest he leave their fat ass or cheat on her with a hot chick. They want a man who makes them look better and who they can dominate into effeminate subservience.
The ghey is everywhere. In the food, in the air we breath, in the media…
It’s funny watching the betas and omegas sit around worrying about what women want.
I can tell you right now that you’d make yourselves more attractive to women across the board if you stopped worrying about what they want and just did your thing.
