Didn’t even hear about it when it came out, but just saw it on the guide so I watched it. Interesting but biased as expected. Has anyone else seen it?

Well I’ve never seen it either…but I’m assuming it would be about why we fight. I could be crazy though.

I saw it and quite enjoyed it. Thought it was obviously biased, it had a good deal of truth in it. The interaction between corporations and our government is quite depressing, and with the military it is worse. It’s really interesting that Eisenhower was able to predict what has so eerily come to pass.

That POS is an insult to the original films by the master crasftman Frank Capra! At least in Capra’s “Why we Fight” series, you don’t mind being manipulated because he leaves the choice to accept it up to the viewer, unlike this mistittled & misbegotten piece of soviet style propaganda!
…Capra’s version applies to current events more than you might think (if we fought like our troops back then, this war would be over by now…
There are even “shocking” clips of Nazis being shot by firing squads in the field, remember these films were originally designed to be shown only to the military, when released to the public, they won the Academy Awards!)…
These films are used to teach editing techniques in film classes…Get in on the REAL deal, you can start HERE…

I think you all missed the point, the movie was supposed to be a commentary on why we fight NOW, nothing to do with Capra’s WWII series. It’s a commentary on the modern Military Industrial Complex which Ike warned us about. The complex is, in fact, a partial (though direct) result of the large profits made by various entities when there is war. Makers of tanks, guns, bullets, those why receive speculative (and highly lucrative) government contracts for R&D all throw a great deal of money at legislators to keep their contracts with the government. There is no marketplace for their products in an environment of piece.
Whether you agree with the message or not, it is not a ‘biased’ one. It may be considered ‘inflammatory’ but lets face it thats just the way successful media works today. In truth the movie is simply an examination of the rise of a profitable business arena which uses their influence to make legislators protect their interests in order to move more product, just like big tobacco or the auto industry. Only here ‘marketplace creation’ (a term most business students should be familiar with) involves creating a war-zone.

The fact that it happens to share the same name by coincidence doesn’t allow you to categorically dismiss it…you fool.
Seems like a great film from the clips I’ve seen, will be downloading it tonight.
An excellent film. we need more like it to seep into the corners of the public consciousness. Then at least we might have some chance of an educated public discourse on the current disaster…
Biased? sure, everything is. That is why you need that little skill called critical thinking that so many of our citizens in this nation are without.
Some other films along this line that I have been looking at are: Iraq for Sale, Shadow Company and Obsession: Radical Islams war against the West. For those few people out there willing to try to wrap their head around different points of view, give them a once over…
