This looks like it will be an interesting documentary.
Child abuse.
I’m not sure who this Jebus guy is, but the clips of the kids doing Kali stick fighting was sweeeeet!
My guess is more than half the summer camps in America are religious. Why is anyone surprised the crazy Pentecostals have theirs. My oldest son went to bible camps for 3 summers in his teens. It was always a great experience for him. My 2nd son just got back, he had a great time. But then again, we are conservative baptists, no rolling around the floor and acting like idiots. No women preachers.
Child abuse? Might be at that camp. But I doubt it’s any worse than what you’d find in the projects, huh Harris? Or maybe within the snake dancer groups in the hills of KY. After all, they use the bible a little too don’t they, so they must also be Christian. And how about that Jeffrey Lundgren guy? Now that was a real bible-believing Christian for ya.

You seem to believe that since I thought what ws pictured in the movie was tantamount to child abuse, then I don’t think the other stuff you mentioned was, too.
You would be wrong.
And you say “no woman preachers” as if it were something to be proud of, and not some pathetic sexist remnant of a dying time.
(Although, I agree with you: once you let women become prachers, those damn Hispanics might want to get behinf th pulpit.)

I really really want to see this. It’ll go great next to my copy of “Root of All Evil.”

It seems like a brain washing. Do you think kids that young actually feel or understand everything being taught to them? They simply see others doing it, and follow.

Not true?
And you say “no woman preachers” as if it were something to be proud of, and not some pathetic sexist remnant of a dying time.
It’s a subject the bible is very clear on. It has nothing to do with pride. Disregard for systematic bible doctrine is common among Pentacostals, which is who this movie is about. I was just pointing out that not all who profess to follow Jesus Christ appoach the bible like that.
Wow, indoctrination starts with the young. If yer not for us yer agin us. What BS, no better than any other “fundamentalist” group. They like the rest think they are “more right”. Great they’ll be unbiased tolerant leaders like anyone one else blinded by one vision.
I threw up after I saw that… probabaly because Garlic and Valerian Root dont mix, but im sure the events were connected.
…Do we have any Muslims on T-Nation?
I want to hear something different for a change, I feel like all this recent talk of the Christian right is trying to brainwash me.
I love her attempts to distance her group’s indoctrination from radical Muslim groups in the Middle East.
