My guess is more than half the summer camps in America are religious. Why is anyone surprised the crazy Pentecostals have theirs. My oldest son went to bible camps for 3 summers in his teens. It was always a great experience for him. My 2nd son just got back, he had a great time. But then again, we are conservative baptists, no rolling around the floor and acting like idiots. No women preachers.
Child abuse? Might be at that camp. But I doubt it’s any worse than what you’d find in the projects, huh Harris? Or maybe within the snake dancer groups in the hills of KY. After all, they use the bible a little too don’t they, so they must also be Christian. And how about that Jeffrey Lundgren guy? Now that was a real bible-believing Christian for ya.

You seem to believe that since I thought what ws pictured in the movie was tantamount to child abuse, then I don’t think the other stuff you mentioned was, too.

And you say “no woman preachers” as if it were something to be proud of, and not some pathetic sexist remnant of a dying time.

It has nothing to do with pride. Disregard for systematic bible doctrine is common among Pentacostals, which is who this movie is about. I was just pointing out that not all who profess to follow Jesus Christ appoach the bible like that.
