Why was Werdum Suspended?

I miss him. He won 3 out of his last 5 fights and the Reem fight was a robbery. If he was still active the division would be at its peak:

Cormier- champion
Miocic- ex champion
Werdum- ex champion
Velasquez- ex champion
Dos Santos- ex champion
Overeem- beat Werdum (yeah right) and JDS
Ngannou- beat Velasquez and Overeem
Blaydes- future champion who only lost to Ngannou

Division is still pretty good though; I think it was at its best in 2014-2016 when Werdum upset Cain and then Stipe beat him soon after. Canā€™t forget the battle that was JDS-Miocic in 2014.

i see it as cormier got lucky against stipe and now refuses to give a rematch, and thus fighting a hasbeen, just not to get that L before pension
