That’s specificity.
Methodology: a system of methods used in a particular area of study or activity.
My post mostly describes how specific strength training can be towards powerlifting.
Don’t try to take me as a fool, please.

Your constant need for attention and willingness to goad one of the dumbest nitpicking argument I’ve seen in a while
Now I always like to say something positive so I’m very impressed at your ability to respond so quickly and your ability to change topics within a thread
Being pedantic doesn’t change reality, powerlifting absolutely has a methodology. Specificity is part of it.
earlier when I asked you why Sheiko is a powerlifting program you FIRST said “Sheiko is a powerlifting program because it’s designed to be one.”
That’s peak intellectual dishonesty. You tried to weasel your way out.
Prove it
no you
You made the claim, burden of proof is on you. Prove it. Just saying things doesn’t make it true
im good
I don’t see how, but whatever. I answered that it’s pretty specific towards powerlifting.
I’m done. This has been fun, but you twist people’s words to match your reality too much and create too many strawmans.
It’s like you insist to have a conflict, instead of trying to understand what people are saying to you.
Good night.
“Sheiko is a powerlifting program because it’s designed to be one.”
No one twisted anyone’s words. You got caught and outed for it.
“Sheiko is a powerlifting program because it’s designed to be one.”
No one twisted anyone’s words. You got caught and outed for it, and now you run. The same person who says they can’t pin powerlifting training down goes on to say that Sheiko is a powerlifting program. What a joke.
These are the people telling me you’re not a powerlifter unless you compete.
Why should we trust the judgment of people saying that you’re not a bodybuilder or a powerlifter until you compete when they can’t define the training specific to each and they appeal to a federation that was also made up by a bunch of human beings?
These are the same people who act all virtuous saying “you can’t make it up as you go!” And yet they appeal to things other people made up such as federations.
Let’s add a Powerlifting story or two or more.
First: Powerlifting is more like a brotherhood. Bodybuilding is more like a testosterone beauty pageant.
We can get into the details around those two comments later.
My first Powerlifting story: It was my first Powerlifting meet and it was held in Tampa, FL. My training partner, who was a Powerlifter that moved from Columbus, Ohio, helped me understand what to expect.
Back in those days the knee wraps were made by Ace and could be purchased at most any drug store. My workout partner said to buy a new pair of knee wraps for the meet.
We got there that morning for weighin and equipment check. The head judge, Harvey Newton, was an AAU Olympic Lifting judge and all business. When I got weighed and then next to equipment check was my first experience with a man that I will never forget. I showed him my knee wraps in their box. He opened them up and rolled them out to measure them. Then he took his scissors out and cut off the amount of the wraps that exceeded the legal length. I questioned him saying that they were right out of the box. He looked at me and coldly said, “But they were illegal until cut off the excess length. Next”
We laughed about Harvey Newton for weeks, hoping he wasn’t judging the next meet. But he was firm, yet fair.
I really dont get it. For a person who competed in a bodybuilding contest and judging by the pic he posted has been into lifting for a while, why be so hung up on a sport he doesn’t like and has no interest in competing in? It really seems like a charade, but to what end? I have no idea.
It’s not that I’m hung up on a sport I’m not interested in. It’s the principle of people claiming that you are not X until you compete. These same people turn around and accuse me of making up my own identity when yet they are appealing to other things people made up such as federations.
Their logic is in the drain.
No exactly. It seems like he thinks hes right, therefore he is, no matter what and will jump through any hoop to be right
You’re just relying on rhetorical tricks to sound clever. That’s called sophistry.
Let me break it down for you. People here claim that you are not X until you compete. My argument is no, you are X as well if you train using the methodology of that sport. They turn around and accuse me of just making up identities when yet they appeal to other things people made up such as federations.
Make an argument for once
oh man big man on campus
“big man on campus” is meaningless when you don’t have an argument dude. It’s just a rhetorical trick. You need a claim and a premise
Have you considered I do not care? I genuinely don’t think you are arguing in good faith anymore and haven’t been for almost 700 posts
Ah but you care enough to throw around banalities. And I’m the one who’s not in good faith? Another dude projecting
