Really wasting your time VT. You can prove these guys wrong with their OWN words and they will dispute you! You can literally put the evidence right in front of their nose and have them READ it and they will ignore it. They aren’t just ignorant, they have no desire to change the ignorance In their warped mind they believe the way they view the world and they NEVER want to change from that view. It doesn’t matter what evidence to the contrary you have they will ignore it. It doesn’t matter what they once said, they can get over that.

You’re talking about minds so closed that I’m surprised any oxygen can get in. All they know is they passionately believe something and want to talk about it. But they don’t want to listen to what anyone else says. They are really just looking for someone to agree with what they already believe to be 100% true. The facts don’t matter in their world.

And if someone says something contrary to what they said they will attack the person saying it. You bring evidence that what they said is false and they will bring more attacks. You use their own words to show how hypocritical they are and they will bring more attacks. I’ve seen these types of people in many a political forum. They are on a message board for designed for discussion, but make no mistake about it discussion is not what they are after. They also tend to almost always come off as very angry. As if they are deeply unsatisfied with their personal lives.

I really liked what Jindal said, if we want people to like us we have to like them first. When your party is based on “I fucking hate gays, and I fucking hate brown people, and I fucking hate black people, and I fucking hate the media, and I fucking hate single moms, and I fucking hate the unemployed, and I fucking hate poor people” you aren’t going to win many elections. Even though I’m not fan of the Left, I can’t blame people in some of those groups for siding with them even if I’d point out how it doesn’t serve their best interest (neither side does). I mean one side doesn’t really try much to hide their disdain for a lot of those groups. Obviously I’m generalizing and not ALL republicans feel like this but I think the point stands.

I don’t know how Obama could have served this one more up on a plate. If you can’t beat a President with this kind of conditions your party has problems. Either Republicans will decide they want to pander to those that fucking hate all that shit and continue to lose or they will decide to embrace a more Libertarian approach. They’ve tried to tack hard right and look what it has gotten them. You get absolute lunatics like Todd Akin, Christine O’Donnel, etc and you fuck up elections you should win easily.

Either they change and compete or stay the same and never do.

Actually I was doing a search a while back for something and that thread was part of my results and I found it interesting. It stuck with me. I guess that is part of the eidetic memory…which as you know, is not actually related to IQ.
