That is so funny - since this is exactly what “real men” conservatives such as yourself claim that liberals do. Does this mean that you are becoming more liberal?
Hmmmm.
I was disappointed that you did not tell me to run along.

Run along…No no just kidding. Like I said I’m glad you’re here and I wish other liberals would come on in and stick around. It’s no fun agreeing with everyone each day.
But anyway I did let my emotions get in the way calling the last election. I wanted Romney to win. Go figure I thought a guy with actual executive experience who built large companies, was a Governor and turned around the Olympics is just what we needed. But about 2% more of the voters thought they wanted something different. And I do give Nate Silver all the credit in the world for calling it as he did (and I said this earlier on another thread). He was spot on! I can usually separate my emotions from political thinking.
I think that’s where conservatives differ from the left.
The left talks about concepts which appeal to emotion, while the right talks about various action steps that could lead to one specific result.
For example the left wants “fairness” that is obviously a concept that cannot really be defined. Because “fairness” to you is not “fairness” to someone else.
In my humble opinion, Obama won because the American people can see through the hypocrisy that some on the right are dishing out. I’ll admit, I agree with the fiscal conservatives on most issues. However, where I live in WV, and where I work in PA, there are plenty of “Keep America Free” signs up along the road. I have to ask, “Keep America free” from what exactly? Free from government intrusion on healthcare, job decisions, taxes ect., sure, most people would agree with that. But many conservatives wish to impose, by law and constitutional amendments, their views on others with regards to reproductive rights and sexual freedoms. I’m not saying its wrong to argue against abortion and gay marriage ect., but you can’t argue against these two things, and at the same time claim to be for “small government” and want to “keep America free”. And thankfully, the American people saw right through this facade and didn’t elect these hypocrites into power.

Oh man you must be young…they’re all hypocrites. But at least the republican hypocrites will let me keep more of the money that I earn. Whereas the democrat hypocrites want to steal more of the money that I earn.

There is NOTHING STOOPIDDER than fiscal conservatism that thinks it can live in a socially liberal moral toilet.
I couldn’t agree with you more Tirib. But those who feel that they can have it both ways are not at all logical
-Pregnancy out of wedlock cost taxpayers
-Behavior that brings on HIV cost taxpayers
-Drug Usage cost taxpayers
-Gluttony costs taxpayers
-Alcoholism costs taxpayers
But that won’t stop some from saying “I’m socially liberal but fiscally conservative.” They might just as well say “I’m stupid” Because they just don’t understand the direct costs of a lack of self-discipline and basic good behavior.
I never said any such thing Pitt get back to me when you can actually carry on an intelligent conversation.
What ? Have an intelligent conversation with Zeb ,Eye roll , the one that ignores fact and clings to the latest canned message from the Republican party
Did you know that it’s a talking point to accuse others of using talking points? The problem Pitt is that you sit there still unable to answer any of my comments without using generalities.
You get away with that a lot around here and not many call you on it.
