Well, an insult followed by some sort of rhetoric about how doom is looming.
Really, if you want people to believe, you should try to give a positive message. Who wants to hang out with Eeyore all the time?

Really, if you want people to believe, you should try to give a positive message. Who wants to hang out with Eeyore all the time?
Well that’s fair enough and I think you are being sincere which I appreciate. I do want people to believe, but I am not at liberty to say whatever I want to try to get them to. Doom is not looming for me. I’ve been singing praise to my Lord all week. Honestly. I don’t bring a message. I bring a person. I believe Him. My motivation is to obey Him. Not to get people to hang out with me. He hangs out with me. That is worth all the scorn anyone can heap upon me. Please do not doubt that I was sincere about your father. I have a 17 year old daughter and she is my baby girl. I also didn’t mean to imply you were immature by calling you little girl either. If you thought that.

He was a negotiator at heart. He could always bring people to find a common ground. This is what made him so good at his job. Ultimately, he saw that the republicans were/ are unwilling to concede anything in order to move forward.
The GOP has drawn a line in the sand and have refused to move an inch.
With all due respect, negotiator is another word for convictionless compromiser. He didn’t do you any favors in what he taught you. The GOP has tragically moved 8000 miles in the last 50 years. They are further left than Kennedy’s Democrats. You’re living a myopic illusion of myopic youth which you will soon enough see for what it is. Long after it’s too late.

Really? You insult her father? Way to go…and you still wonder why people ignore you and your stock plummets on this site? Unbelievable.
Edit: I see you apologized, but it is still shocking behaviour from the champion of impending moral and societal collapse. Manners, old chap. Don’t ignore them selectively. You keep saying how you’re the same irl as you are on here? If that’s how you are , you have work to do.
I only pop in PWI every so often to help round out my political view and make my information base to be as broad as possible.
But, this thread has some seriously prejudiced garbage in it. How do some of you function in a society that has people who are different from you in it?

I didn’t mean it quite as it sounded and saw a minute later that my preface was inadequate.
I don’t wonder why people ignore me and I’ve never had much stock in this forum and would consider it utter failure if I did.
All the lib sites I was reading were discussing how many more offices and volunteers they had in their distrcts. They were talking about driving folks to the polling places. The conservative sites mentioned nothing about this.
This thread is about why Obama won and the ground game is it. They had volunteers on the ground willing to work for it.
If you want your guy to win in four years, get out and drive voters to the polls. Volunteer.
Agree. Obama has an impressive turnout machine and is a rock star… His pop icon status helps that as well.
And without a doubt Romney’s ground game failed. Turnout was down. Marginal higher turnout and Romney would have won.

Because they live in the real world rather than an anonymous internet forum?

Uh, Obama didn’t even release a 2nd term agenda until after the third debate. Even then it was an 18 page pamphlet. Pages mostly filled with glossy photos. Nothing about entitlement reform.
And yet he still got elected. When you’re the challenger you need to bring your A game. He didn’t detail out his plans so everyone just thought he was going to cut programs to the poor. He insulted half of the country - he admitted his mistake but the words were out there still. He didn’t even capitalize on his Mexican heritage at all.
Republicans need to do a much more grass roots effort to change perceptions. I don’t think that religion plays as big of a role as people think. Much of America is religious and Obama attends church so that’s obviously not stopping people from voting Repub.

Yup, branding and communication improvements. That and getting rid of/toning down the Bush/McCain-esk people. They are toxic names to younger people.

Didn’t Kerry park his yacht in another state to avoid paying taxes on it ? I recall a story like that.
Yeah, he put it to port in Rhode Island I believe. He avoided paying taxes on it that way. But that’s no big deal the media didn’t mind a bit he is a democrat after all.
Yeah ZEB, thats it, its all because the liberal media ignored it.
It has nothing to do with the fact that since the boat is in another state, it is not immediately accessible to him. its not like he could just waltz down to Rhode Island to take his yacht out any time he wants.
I’m pretty sure this roadblock doesn’t exist when you stash your money in an offshore account.
But yeah, the two situations are completely the same. Way to pick up on that.
Way to be blind to the facts Santa.
Kerry ran for President in 04’. How many times did we have to hear about his money as compared to how many times we heard about Romneys’ money?

She means that you are an arrogant cunt who types smileys and feel good words around lowlife passive aggressive attacks that would make a high school teenager blush.
Wow, you are bringing such a high level of debate to this board.
Are you a government shill ? I don’t know ONE SINGLE PERSON who is making more $$$ than in 2008. You have to be a Union goon, or someone affiliated with government whoredom.
Now you do. I took a 10% pay cut in 2009. Within six months it was brought back to where I was. In 2011 got a 5% raise. Got another 5% raise the first part of this year.
I am not union, don’t work for the Government and am in a pretty small company. Also business is very brisk.

Nah, you gotta be lying…It is inconceivable that someone might be able to do well for themselves…
I wonder how many people blaming their bad luck on Obama just aren’t all that talented at what they do in the first place. Maybe a career change is in order?

You are super fantastic Santa.
Now what?
LOL oh and your petty name calling is somehow different? What, you get to do it because you have jerked off to 15,000+ posts in the PWI forum of a weightlifting site? LOL that is great man. Too funny…

Also, the unemployment rate here is at least 20% realistically. If you count the number of peeps underemployed and stopped looking for work, it’s really that bad.
Please enlighten us, this oughta be rich.
LOL now I understand how the birther movement gained so much traction with you fuckers…you serioulsy don’t know one single person who has increased their income in the last 4 years? Brother, I gotta say that probably reflects more on you and who you associate with than it does with me.

And I’ll point out again that you seem to be awfully dissatisfied with your station in life, whether it be due to circumstances outside of your control (lack of talent) or within your control (where you live), have you ever considered doing something about it? There are opportunities out there for everyone with even an iota of drive and skill. Or is it easier to just play the blame game and feel sorry for yourself?
I know the idea today is that Romney won the old white voters. However, it looks he like simply won white voters. That is, he won the the young white voters. He won all age groups of white voters, in fact. White women. And so on.

And this has what to do with “Why Obama Won?”
So far you’ve fallen short of our expectations Sparky.
Don’t get me wrong we like the entertainment value that you bring to the site. But even the weak minded supply at least a feeble argument now and again.
So…you better get your mind off of me jerking off or any other homo erotic fantasies that you may have (based on your most recent post) and get cranking out something of substance…got it in you?

Good link Sloth. Once again I wanted Romney to choose Rubio who would have been able to reach out to minorities, not to mention deliver Florida.
The republican party is going to have to do a better job of expressing concern for minorities. We need to reach out to them and point out why it’s better to vote republican than to embrace the obama nanny state. I don’t think it would be that difficult with most minority groups

I watched every single republican debate and I got to tell you the rhetoric was not exactly Latino friendly and the Latino vote reflected this in the general election. I also know you hate Stewart, but he ran a series of clips the other night of Gingrich, Bachman, and Santorum shredding Romney as an out-of-touch-rich white guy who looted companies while at Bain and who shipped jobs to China. Stewart didn’t make that shit up, its all on video. Its tough to blame the “dirty smear campaign” run by the Dems when the other R’s are the ones who started the narrative in the first place. One of the biggest problems for the republican party on the national scene is its own selection process.
