Stop trying to fix so called white people and focus on fixing the people who are incapable of functioning in a structured society that makes certain demands of its citizens.

I saw this video the other day, and I think it is a good path forward from where we are. On a side note, I guess āTEDā was not going to release this video. It is somehow controversial (I mean, I get why, but the guy makes a pretty convincing case IMO).

This is exactly it. Like, OK, I recognize racism, ethnocentrism, and nepotism exist, and in the current day in the US, there are conditions that make them worsened.
Now, aside from treating people fairly, what should I do?

Self hatred is a uniquely huwhyte thing. Its easy to guilt those gullible weaklings into self loathing. No other ethnicity does itā¦ and everyone is guilty as a collective of past horrors. So strange. More slaves today than ever beforeā¦ mostly black and arab. Square that.

Most who opposed slavery werenāt driven by moral reasons but by the desire to protect their way of life. In the North, the focus was on maintaining economic opportunities and social mobility, which could be affected by the presence of slave labor. Especially when expanding to the West.
Very similar to what goes on today for example with Trade unions vs Right to work states/non-union contractors.

First off, this is wrong. Abolitionists were driven by their moral beliefs. Second, this is an American centric statement as the so called white race is not limited to the United States. When someone refers to white people in this context they are referring to nations governed by whites and consisting of a population that was overwhelmingly white. And we can easily look up the abolitionist movements in places like England and see how they were concerned with the immorality of slavery. It was part of Enlightenment thinking.
The problem with many Americans is that they have this uneducated view that history began in either 1492, 1619 or 1776 and the rest of the world looked like the Middle Ages until the 20th century. Thatās why they are dismissive when the Americans who know their roots talk about the suffering of their people throughout history, a history which predates 1619 by centuries or even millennia. Apparently generational trauma stops when you cross borders.
