Why have you decided that an Asian’s sense of culture, history, and self recognition begins when arriving in America? Why would you decide that for any group? It’s like telling a Jew in America that what happened in Europe for centuries through to very recent times doesn’t count or hold any relevance. Why does so called generational trauma only affect one demographic and is restricted to America? Somehow an immigrant is cured of that trauma when crossing a border?
