Why Do You Train?

So I have something to add whenever someone asks me “why do I train” … plus I like strapping up 3 - 45’s to a dip belt and having people look at me like I’m nuts when I start to do 10 sets of 3 (true story) and having the floor beneath the dip station drenched with my sweat … it’s better than a movie

good way to kill time between shifts

I train because I like to see progress, and I can never say that I didn’t improve myself on the days that I train.

I train because it makes me feel very alive.

It’s my antidote to the mundane drudgery that I’m constantly exposed to, all the bullshit, the babblings of mental health professionals, the fatness, the complacency, and the feminism that pervades this fucking society.

I want to be the strongest man who ever lived. A lofty goal, maybe, but I’ve got nothing but time

That reminds of that great film, American Beauty. When Lester goes out running with his 2 gay neighbours for the first time, he asks them for some pointers. One of them asked “Are you just looking to lose weight, or do you want increased strength and flexibility as well?” to which he replied “I want to look good naked!”

Now that was inspirational.
