Now I’m picturing you sitting on you porch, drinking malt liquor, and holding a 12 gauge.
Feel better?

Yea I feel better. But it’s moonshine. Uncle diddy made it.
And it’s not a 12 gauge, it’s a homemade 50cal. auto
Easy there killer. You know how expensive it is to load 50bmg?
No, here in Canada it’s subsidized by our Liberal government.
Have you looked outside of Vancouver? Like Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, etc? Life is too short to live somewhere you don’t like and not have a plan to get out.
I had a plan but then I ended up with two kids and everywhere that I was looking at went bad. As far as Canada goes, Ottawa is alright, I guess. If I had more money I would go elsewhere.
Unrelated to topic.

My wife is originally from Alabama. I’ve visited the Gadsden and Attalla area a few times.
I don’t blame you.
Nice!
With the exception of the Buffalo Bar and 5-Star Flat Bench, I too have scored those same Ironmind products via Craigslist as a well. Some grip stuff also.
So… how many people do you know who have gotten with a relative
(Wanna be replies, stating that his wife is also his sister)
I live in Aus, I like the scenery one can view if they go on a hike/out to the countryside. The healthcare here is pretty good (practically everyone gets Medicare subsidied doctors appointments)… but there are more negatives than positives from my standpoint
the economy is fucked, everything is reeeaaallyyyyy expensive, try 110$+ for a tank of gas, 40$ for a short haircut, 1 million + to own a small house in a decently populated area, in NSW police are present EVERYWHERE trying to catch people committing the smallest of misdemeanors whilst completely overlooking larger scale criminal behavior…
regulations, regulations, regulations… everything is so stringently ministered, I believe we even now have mass surveillance in certain areas with people constantly overlooking citizen behavior, the government here appears to be stiff, boring and surprisingly uncooperative in relation to public opinions.
the liberal government (opposite of Canada’s liberal government)… fuck them
generalized intolerance towards immigrants, foreigners
the way we have treated aboriginal inhabitants of this land (of should I say… THEIR land)
deadly animals… my god… everything wants to kill you
Positives
I live in Czech Republic, but I would rather live anywhere in America or England ![]()
I don’t know, but a 611 mile-long fortified border wall to contain the northern menace would make me sleep better at night.
What’s so bad about Czech Republic?
England seems like a miserable place, and very expensive too. The US has a lot of good things about it, but a lot of bad things as well. Compared to a 3rd world country, those are good places to go they would not be my first choice.
Fixed that for ya.
I live in a small coastal town in Southeastern Massachusetts. Good beaches, great local food, cost of living is low, consistently good live entertainment (major concerts are within an hour drive tops), new Hampshire is reasonably close for the pristine wilderness, great fishing, good hunting (starting to get into it), good schools for the boy, good sports, family, low crime rate
Possibly the first time this has been said about MA.
Hamilton, Ontario. I moved here 20 years ago because house prices were better and my ex-husband had family here. I moved from Toronto and my friends couldn’t understand why we’d want to move to Steeltown.
I’ve never regretted it. The size (500M) is manageable. Over the years, steel has declined leading to unemployment in that sector but there has been amazing growth in art, music and medicine.
Hamilton is the world capitol for water falls. Generally people are friendlier and more easy going than TO. We’re close to the Bruce Trail for hiking, close to beaches (if you like that type of thing). We live downtown and there are walking trails 500m from our house when you would swear you weren’t in a city.
We live at the bottom of the Niagara Escarpment and every time I come down the access road, the view of the city takes my breath away. It never gets old.
@SkyzykS I’ve heard Hamilton compared to Pittsburg as being quite similar.
Overall nothing, but people there are very very envious and defamatory. Especially in such a small town like mine. ![]()
