Why Do Fat Chicks Work at the Gym?

if you walked into a school and you saw all the teachers giving out misinformation would you care? say the teacher said 5+5=11 would still care? i mean by your logic you wouldnt because its not effecting you right?

when you walk into a gym to seek nutritional or training advice you should rest assured that the people in the facility are competent in their field.

You completely contradict yourself in your first two paragraphs. That example of the teacher is too extreme because that would never happen. In a way it would affect* me because when that teacher gets fired and works at Arby’s she’ll mess up my change.

The thing is…I’m not walking up to someone to seek any advice. It’s not safe to assume many things. You assumed I didn’t care because it did not affect me. However, I do not really care because most people won’t care at all what I have to say to them. They’ll go right back to what they were doing before the way they want to do it. Believe me, the last thing I want to see is someone get injured.

It is kind of like searching for anything, you need to find the best one.

yea, i took my own initiative and looked up the information for myself, but you shouldnt have to do that if youre going to a place where its assumed you know wtf youre talking about. and when youre fat working in a gym where the objective usually is to look better, not worse, by being fat you say “i dont know wtf im talking about”. especially if youre a woman.

Why would you assume a trainer knows something if by being fat they say “I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.”

regardless of whether or not they actually do that appearance gives off the impression you dont know how to stay in shape and since thats what 95% of people who lift weights want you do a very poor job of marketing yourself or at least making yourself look the part.

My friend’s brother graduated with an English degree and several companies wanted him to come do marketing for them.

What’s funny about that is how many people will tell you that English is such a worthless degree

well, it doesnt have a direct transition to many other things thats why people say it.

And yet somehow the people who are offering this friend’s brother jobs seem to disagree … strange.

i dont think you get what im saying, read the second part of my post again.

youre disagreeing with me when i said that ANY degree can get you a job just because its a degree.

No, I get what you’re saying. But while you’re not in anyway contradicting yourself, the two parts of your statement are separate, adn I’m disagreeing with the first part

well, it DOESNT have a direct correlation with a lot of fields. how many people do you know that want to be accountants who get english degrees? probaly none if any because english doesnt relate to accounting, but some jobs can relate to others because of small things. for instance, my mom was telling me she was thinking of getting a PT accounting job. i said ma, you dont have any experience and you suck at math. she told me that she did payroll for X years though and its a lot of the same stuff.

i also read something on AOL or MSN about the same thing; people having seemingly worthless english degrees but getting jobs you typically wouldnt associate with them. but keep in mind they werent things like medical assisting or pharmaceuticals where you WOULD need a degree related to the field. in fact i couldnt even tell you the job off the top of my head that she did get, but i think it had something to do with office work.[/quote]

You said that it wouldnt apply to MANY things, IN SPITE of the example of an english major being offered jobs in a seemingly unrelated field, and then you provided two examples, accounting and the medical field. The reality is that a degree in English could have applications in many fields in which you have communicate with someone.

She went to a decent school. I forgot to mention it was veterinary school, which is supposedly harder to get into than medical school. I do not know the validity of this statement. What graduate program did you do?

I don’t know why people are so concerned with others around them at the gym. I just go and get my thing done without saying a word to anyone and leave.

Veterinary school is extremely competitive to get in to, because there are very few veterinary schools in the US. I just looked it up: there are only 32 schools in the US and Canada with a vet program (!).

Wasn’t there an article about the Fat Physical Trainer? and… well… wasn’t Dan John a bit beefy?

but there is a difference between being fat with no muscle and being fat with a gorgeous amount of muscle.

All the trainers at my gym look good. All shapes and sizes from big massive muscles to lean and quick looking. And one woman that used to work there had lost 80lbs and then become a trainer and specialized in working with the obese clients.

And there’s a “trainer” who uses our facility to treain people who’s just an anorexic little girl who puts every one of her clients on the same upper body only machine circuit and spinner bikes.
