A girl called me skinny
Transfered high school in November of Freshman year. Had to add another class and they gave me “Fit for Life” (amazingly gay way of saying the weight class). I was 6’1", 252, fat and one of the weakest guys in the class. I had to change that.
Now, still fat, but a lot stronger than then and, compared to all the seniors in that class that made fun of me, I was throwin’ up way more weight than they were when I was a senior. That and I can yell out “YEAHH BUDDAY!!” and feel cool for doing so.
I first started lifting when I was twelve, and it was primarily for football. I got into powerlifting in high school, and the weights became much more than just a means to an end. I continue to lift because I love it, every aspect of it.
To me, nothing feels better than iron in my hands, the pump and the pain. I love the feeling you get when you just manage to eek out that last rep, your blood flows to the target muscle, and your whole body seems to explode with an inner fire, and burn itself out from within.
Personally I have never given a damn about how people see me, notice me, or what they think of me. Lifting is its own end for me.
Newsflash. You’re not.
to get stonger for work (hard landscaping) and to perform well in armour (i do c.14th reenactment), if you cant move well enough in armour, you just look like shit during tourneys.
Got married, gained weight, got divorced. I wanted both my money and my body back.
Started running all the time and then started entering races. Went from 260 to 210. A buddy brought his old bench and left it at my house. Maxed it pretty quickly and joined the gym. 6 months later, I’m back up to a solid 230. Still don’t have my fucking money though…
Because I wanted to impress woman. It worked. Fast forward five years later I’m in it for the longevity and health. But milfs like muscle. So I’m told…lol

Haha, so far I’ve managed to verify that women have always hated me for my personality, not my looks.
I was always the smallest, skinniest and at the bottom of the pecking order of all my peers growing up. I vowed to get BIG and maybe a little respect, which I get now.
Oh, and also for the women.
In 1987 I saw the movie Predator… the rest is history
The exact moment was when i saw a 150 pounder dead 385 and i was still benching on the smith machine. Also that week was when i came to T-Nation =)

In 1987 I was born. Damn, I feel young.
Started to handle lineman better in football (played FB and LB). Kept it up after HS because I ended up caring about lifting more than football.

Why not Brolly?
… I guess it all started after my thirteenth birthday, my parents forgot all about it and my uncle Remis came over and pissed his pants.
Because I knew about Goku long before I ever heard anything about Brolly. Goku got me started on getting stronger.
I wanted to be powerful.
for football at first. then because i liked it. then i wanted to look hawt for the ladies.
now, a combination of everything. i can’t stand not lifting. i just had surgery. it sucks.
