Why Attacks on Trump Don't Work

It’s okay when Trump does it because he’s not a politician…/s

I was listening to the back-and-forth on the News about this election (i.e. mostly Trump)…and I realized that the “Post-Mortem” analysis of this election may be almost as interesting as the election itself.

One thing that I have DEFINITELY noticed; some of the most “sure-of-themselves” pundits and predictors have been relatively muted in predicting this election.

I think Trump has shot their metrics all to Hell…

True enough, he will win in some blue states, possibly PA, and other coal states. But, I’m not sure where he loses any red states. Would Trump lose the south? I doubt it. He will not pick up New York as he says. What are your thoughts?

All the pundits have been wrong, plus they feel like they have a say in who gets elected, and Trump has now shown that to be false.

They are upset they no longer control the narrative, the tangerine tornado does.

Zeb:

I think the South will be VERY dependent on turnout.

While African Americans are solidly behind Clinton…they are not nearly as motivated and enthusiastic as they were about President Obama. African Americans also (appear) to not be so “Anti-Trump”. (As I said earlier; Trump has the appeal “Dog the Bounty Hunter” had for African Americans, according to my friends.).

The net result of the South?

Who turns out and votes.

My question for you; why is Kasich so “sure” Trump is going to lose Ohio?

This is what Kasich said: “Kasich predicted that should Trump not change his message to one of unity, presumptive GOP nominee would have a “big problem” in the Buckeye State.”

http://q13fox.com/2016/05/16/kasich-says-hes-not-endorsing-trump-and-doesnt-want-to-serve-as-his-vp/

I have to respectfully disagree with Governor Kasich whom I hold in high esteem. Kasich beat Trump by only 8 points (if memory serves) in the Ohio primary. Not a gigantic number for a very popular Governor. I think Kasich is underestimating the angst that many Americans are feeling regarding the direction of the Country and the true lack of leadership over the past 7+ years. Not to go off on a tangent but if you recall both Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton both used great communication skills to rally the public to their respective causes. Obama has shown none of that leaving a deep void in the leadership department. And Trump even though he makes my stomach turn on many occasions looks and sounds like a tough talking leader.

While I do agree with the Governor that Trump needs to tone down the rhetoric and attempt to be a unifier I doubt he will be able to fully kick into that gear as it is not naturally in his personality. But even so I don’t see him losing to Hillary Clinton in Ohio. She has alienated industrial states with much of her left wing rhetoric in order to win the primaries against socialist Bernie Sanders.

One more point which I don’t think I’ve mentioned before. Bernie has indeed helped Trump by pulling Hillary to the left as well as winning many, many primaries.

LOL

I am totally stealing this

One more thing that won’t work against Trump fake news stories concocted by the New York Times:

The only thing I can say is that the more they attack him, the more popular and well liked he becomes. It’s totally backfiring on them (the media), but hey he makes them money. I guess they will bash and attack him right into the White House.
I guess people aren’t buying what the media is selling. Or it makes them more curious about Trump so they look deeper and end up finding things they like?
I don’t understand the sociological phenomenon behind Trump.
Perhaps, they are bashing him too much. Bashing often works on public opinion. It worked on Bush. But he wasn’t bashed near as much. Maybe it’s the magnitude of the bashing that is causing the opposite of the desired effect.

All I know is that watch Sanders supporters get violent and make threats, even unto death, brings a little tear of joy in to my eye.

Those who were questioning that Trump can beat Hillary need to take a look a couple of new polls:

FOX has Trump leading Clinton 45 to 42

Rasmussen has Trump leading Clinton 42 to 37

It’s very early but as I have been saying and will keep saying (if only to irritate some of my left leaning friends) my prediction remains, as it has for about one year, Hillary Clinton is not going to win the Presidency.

Funny thing about Sanders supporters, a local news station went to the rally here in nearby Carson CA and interviewed a few dozen supporters. After being asked if they would support Hillary should Bernie not win the nomination, only one person admitted they would vote for Hillary. Even an self proclaimed feminist would not vote for the pantsuit LOL.

Nearly all of those asked would not vote for Hillary, they also didn’t say they would vote for Trump, but signified they would either write in Bernie or stay home.

Hillary is about as popular as gonorrhea.

Correct, Trump closed the gap within a week or two. Keep in mind, we still haven’t seen the State Dept emails, the pending indictment, or Trump’s attacks.

I wonder if any of them are paying attention to whats happening in Venezuela.

That country is currently feeling the Bern

What this election has clearly shown people is how rigged BOTH the GOP and DEM process is.

The GOP process is a little more complex and difficult to understand…but rigged nonetheless.

The DEMS process is OPENLY rigged (with all the Super delegate shenanigans).

People are pissed about them both.

That is interesting Max. I have been saying that this fight between Hillary and Bernie has been going on for so long and has been so emotional that it’s almost like in the end neither candidates supporters are going to be excited to vote for the other one. Of course that totally depends on what happens from here on in. But, if it continues I think Hillary would be a fool to assume she gets all of Bernie’s supporters on board.

Also…

if for some reason Hillary is taken from the race BEFORE she gets the nomination. Let’s say she is abducted by aliens…or hay, here’s something more realistic let’s say she gets… INDICTED the dems have more problems. If they dare parachute in Joe Biden Bernie’s supporters would, I bet, mostly vote for Trump as a protest. And all of Hillary’s most ardent supporters; lesbian’s, feminists and left wing global warming loons would go into a deep depression. Sure many would vote for Joe Biden, but many would stay home.

Well said Mufasa and it makes me wonder if things will actually change after this election. While I am doubtful I think there is a chance.

I think the commie loon has a better chance in the general than Hillary.
