Whose Pics Do You Want To See?

Hi, Love…

You REALLY have the Lion worried now…!

I’ve had to take a couple of cold showers just from reading your post on “going deep”…now you’re going to make me suffer from your PICS!!!(LOL!!!)

Hey…do you think Chris may be keeping the pics for HIMSELF???(LOL!)

Seriously…thanks for your openness and perspective, karma. I know you’ve taken a lot of flack in the past for your thoughts and perspective…but it would be PRETTY BORING if we all thought alike, wouldn’t it?

I too would like to see all the TMAG staff, particuarly Bill. I suspect he’s a big mofo.

Hey Mufasa! Yeah bro, after all your great posts i am curious to put a face to the online personality. all the guys i listed i am just curious to see what they actually look like. also, i understand your feelings about not posting your pics yet, it’s cool bro. when you feel it is time, i will look forward to seeing them. Now, what about these other guys i listed?

I have to admit that I’m curious to see a recent pic of Joel as well. Ko mentioned that he’s up to 210 or some such…pretty good for such a short time.

And, of course, any of the ladies are always welcome to post! That goes without saying.

I think that people are being a little paranoid when it comes to covering up their faces, though. Most of the people who’ve been contributing for any length of time on the Forum have supplied enough personal data that - were the government so inclined - they could find them without much trouble. I feel very confident, for example, that I could go and find Machine and tap him on the shoulder during his workout. Tren has given the names of contests that he’s competed in, and the list of contestants is not only short but very publically available. Just blotting out your face isn’t going to make someone unable to ID your body.

Why am I worried about this? I’m not, really. It just would be nice to put some faces to the bodies. As El said, some of these guys look nothing like you’d imagine them to. (Then again, I hope MBE doesn’t look anything like I imagine him to!)

For those asking for T-mag staff pics, look around the site. Just about every one of them - Tim, TC, Chris, Cy Willson, Alessi, King, Berardi, Brock, Lonnie Lowery, Ron Harris and many more - have had their pics in T-mag. Nope, can’t recall where right now, but they’re there. Except Bill Roberts. You’re right about that. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Bill anywhere.

Ha! You’re absolutely right. The gov’t could easily obtain the IP address I’m using and along with all the personal information I’ve provided could easily locate me, if so inclined. In fact, I have a picture in a reader mail in T-mag already. So I will include my face in the pictures. It would be too much of hassle anyway I decided to black it out. Not to mention, I want to show off my pretty face. Just kidding. Look for my pictures by next weekend. Hopefully I’ll get some good ones up there.

BusterK9 - I totally hear you. You’ve made a reasonable request and in fact, I share some of the same curiosity as you in some of the people that I’d like to see.

I will post, just not yet. I've got some older pictures when I was smaller and leaner, but they are too old and while the past is important, the present is really where we make an impression. Right now, I am not happy where I am. I had some changes in my life that I'm just starting to deal with properly when it comes to getting my diet and training back on track. For the past 6 months, I've been trying to hold on to what I have had, but I lost 5-10 lbs of LBM and put on the same amount of fat. I'm not perfect by any measure and my progress in bodybuilding has always been marked by peaks and valleys. Right now, I'm coming out of one of the longest valleys of my training career. I've been trying to write an article about this process for some time, but it has been difficutl. My main goal with this is to show my mistakes (and highlight mistakes others make) and help explain how to avoid the situation altogether and how to get out of it if faced with something similar.

So, if it is just putting a name with a face, you'll get to see that next week as I hope to post a picture from the San Jose k-bell workshop of the group or at least of the forum contributors.

But if it's the physique picture that you want, you'll have to wait until I'm finished with the Bring the Forum program (posted on the T/N board). I'm using this post, the encouragement of my core T-men (you all know who you are) and the suprising generosity of MBE as fresh motivation to push the last 9 weeks of my current routine even harder.

Speaking of pics, did anyone catch the cover of Rollig Stone with Chritina’s nude self on the cover. How shocking, how wonderful, how sweet.I told her if she did this I was going to have to spank her. Come to daddy.

If I remember right, you even gave your license plate in that pic, along with a distinctly Arizona-looking background…

Y’know, I think I WILL come and tap you on the shoulder. When you least expect it, expect it!

Doh! If you are in the Phoenix area (I thought I remember reading you would be over during the holidays), we can grab a workout some time. Or, you could just tap me on the shoulder during mine and that’ll work just fine as well.

Bill Roberts isn’t as big as you think. He’s not as big as Ron Harris, John Berardi, Cy Wilson or Brock. When I saw him at the Biotest seminar, he was about 190 at about 6’2" or a bit taller. But he had lost weight due to being sick. So he’s probably in the lower 200lb club most of the time. He sorta reminds me of Tim Patterson’s build but not cut as shredded as that pic. But I haven’t seen Bill in a while, so I’m sure he looks different now. Bill, you should post a photo. You’re probably one of the few T-mag guys who has posted a pic or been seen at one of the seminars or shows.

Bill Roberts probably wont post a photo because of the same reason Brock Strasser doenst use his real name when he writes.

Hi, honey…

Thanks for being a sweetheart. I understand completely the “being ready to share” feeling and just want ya to know I’m looking forward to whenever that happens for you. You know, you could just do a head shot of you and your honey if you aren’t ready for the the whole nine yards yet.

Karma, good idea. How about it, Mufasa?

I’d also very much like to see a pic of BIll Roberts, but will understand if he decides not to post one. Bill does more (and has done more, historically) than anyone else on the Biotest staff as far as participating on the Forum (i.e., donating his time), and I’m not going to bitch if he draws the line somewhere.

Machine, that might be a cool idea. You still gonna have the same workout place/schedule that you posted a while back? I’ll be in the Phoenix area between the 19th and the 27th, so maybe we can hook up.

you didn’t mention in your reply if you would be posting pics or not? you are on my pics hit list!

Hey Jason, i understand man, thanks for taking the time to reply. i look forward to seeing your pics when you are ready to post them.

Just started training again the past 2 months; prior to that I had about a 3 month layoff in which i lost some lean mass and put on some fat; women can do that to you…the woman I thought would be my wife was cheating on me…

Anyways, I'm right back into the swing of things and am doing a strictly strength cycle right now that will probably last for the next 2-3 months. During this time, I'm going to try to get pretty lean, but doubt i will put on any lean mass as I am doing nothing to stimulate hypertrophy AT ALL; just 1 set of 5 of the core lifts everyday. I am trying to hold on to as much lean mass as possible, however; so I should come out looking decent. My stats right now are 6'2", 212, and 9%. I'll probably post a pic at the end of my cycle.

BusterK9 - I hear ya! Due to my honesty about past steroid usage I’m really paranoid about posting a photo, even with my face taken out. With my job, I’d be out in a heartbeat for using - even though I no longer use. And since I’ve introduced so many people I work with to T-mag, well, I’m too paranoid. I’m skeered!

Remember what happened to Brock! (Read his old Meet the Press interview in T-mag if you don’t know that story!)

Geez Joel, you must have it rough taking a 3 month layoff and being 9% bodyfat at 212 lbs. Unless you were 230 lbs. and 4% then I don’t want to hear it. God, if I had those genetics. Not using the genetics “excuse” because I’ve actually done something quite similar and lost about 20 lbs., mostly muscle. Of course, I was eating less. So what did you weigh before the layoff. Oh, sorry about to hear about your girl situation. I know how it can take away from your intensity. “Women are the frickin rake (Ed Norton, Rounders).”

Dude, I do NOT have genetics on my side, trust me. My 3-month lay off was not a full-blown eat everything in site and never train layoff, but I certainly wasn’t living the bodybuilding lifestyle. Since my return to things hardcore, I did 2 cycles of my cheaters diet w/ Meltdown inbetween to get down to about 9% again. I was up to 218 at one point, and about the same bf%, but with the 3 month shitty period, I lost significant lean mass and put on some fat. I gained a few lbs back w/ Meltdown and got my BF% back down with 6-weeks of hardcore dieting. Also, my numbers may be a little deceiving, 211 may sound big, but i’m not all that big at 6’2"…I have made a hell of a lot of progress, however, so I’m not all that concerned about how far I have left to go; I like to concentrate more on where I came from.
